Yo I got a really hard decision to make rn I’m deciding between these 2 schools. The first school has a good program for me and I like my coach that I would have for comp swimming but the major isn’t as good as the one at school 2 and the campus is big and each class is 3 credits, the environment there is just a lot more welcoming and the Coach there seems to like me a lot more than the one at school 2. School 2 has a more focused major but I don’t really like the swim team that much compared to school one and the classes are 4 credits

School 1 = Wilkes University
School 2 = William Peace University

tbh schools count credits differently so thats not a true metric

#

how long do u plan on staying on the team? all 4 years?

#

and was it the team environment holistically or mostly the coach that made it bad

4 years

#

I would have to take 5 classes a semester at Wilkes but 4 at William peace

#

And it was both the team and the coach that drew me away I feel I fit better into the Wilkes swim team

#

Basically I would need 30 classes completed at William peace and 40 classes complete at Wilkes

#

Spread between all 4 years

Game design

yeesh okay

#

sorry im not too familiar with game design but

#

unless school 2 has a noticably better major (by a large margin), i would just go to school 1

#

and even then it sounds like you enjyo school 1's environment more, youd have a happier time

#

i assume that you can get into game design regardless of what school you go into aswell, as long as you have a strong portfolio

#

so id go with school 1

#

more welcoming, friendly, more comfortable, u like the team there more and it seems like something thats important

#

even though school 2 has a more focused major, you can do game design at school 1 as well without any noticable difference i bet. opportunities will come and you just have to make sure you put yourself out there

Do you think the work load would be better at school 2 and do you think that 30 vs 40 classes between all 4 years which would be better

#

credits vary from school to school like jae said so tbh im not sure

#

id assume that the workload will be similar

tough pewter
#

Credits at school 1 is 3 per class and school 2 is 4

ripe loom
#

schools count credits differently so i dont really know without doing a deep dive into the policy mself

#

if i had to guess it would be neglegible, dont stress too much about it

#

i think either way you should just stick to school 1

tough pewter
#

And do you think it would be easy to balance 5 classes and a sport

ripe loom
#

itd be challenging for sure but if you time manage well its very doable

#

i cant make any statements fs because idk what the curriculum for game design consists of

#

so i apologize

#

but if you use your time effectively you shouldnt have any major issues

tough pewter
#

It’s fine in all the curriculum is better at school 2 than school 1

Also any college major is essentially meant to teach u the same things so youll be capable of the same stuff regardless of which u pick

Costs more

#

Youd have to ask current students what workload is like

#

We cant rlly say
