Location/Region: United States, Suburbs, Pennsylvania. Doesn't have to be a school in PA as long as it offers online courses.
Major: Looking to major in Computer Science.
GPA/Test Scores: 3.5 GPA as of now and my first SAT score was 1000. Still waiting on my scores from this year.
Curriculum: anything related to computer science and in that technology field
Size: the size of the classes doesn't really matter to me. Especially if I'm online I don't see the class size affecting me.
Costs: Budget is pretty tight I'm not sure if something around 10 to 12 thousand a year is realistic but if it does get higher I will need financial aid.
Schools You're Currently Looking At: I was mainly drawn towards WGU (Western Governors University) because it is online and it is really affordable but I am not sure if it is a good school to go into straight out of high school. I've seen some people say that it's a good school to go to when your an adult looking for a cheap and easy way to get a degree with some prior experience. Not sure if this is true but I am curious if it is a good school for someone like me coming out of high school.
Additional: The most important deal breakers are the cost and credibility of the schools. I also want to find a school that is a good fit to go into straight out of high school. I spoke with some people about my certain situation and someone recommended going to community college first and then going to a university to get a degree but I'm not too educated on the process of that. Other than that the main thing I'm looking for is just a few schools that fit this description and I would appreciate any help and advice. Thanks.
