they let in ppl with avg stats that are likely to commit and then only let in ultra ultra cracked oos ppl that qualify for the big schollies to try and get them to attend

if u are in between those 2 areas stat-wise they dont think you'll attend so they wont accept u into engineering directly

everyone that got into engineering got the scholly from what ive seen

the ppl that actually want to go to cu regardless will commit because it's very easy to transfer to engineering (you only need like a 2.7)
