I do agree that CSUs should be looked at. Not all have D1 sports though. Here's the list that do

SLO
Fullerton
San Diego State
Bakersfield
Northridge
Fresno
Long beach
San Jose
Sacramento

Only Fresno, San Diego, San Jose, and Sacramento have football however, and of those, the only ones that I have the impression that have some form of greek life are San Diego and Fresno (the others might though). San Diego is not a safety however, idk Fresno

villanova has a good marketing program i think and seems to kinda fit your social vibe

granted, i am from a school twenty minutes away from villanova so this may not be entirely true but to me it always seemed they were less selective than the acceptance rate suggested
