Location/Region:
Im okay with cities/suburban colleges but i will absolutely not go to a college in a rural area unless there is a mall/city (at most) 30 minutes away from me. i hate the rural areas so i will 100% not be going to a college there. Also, I live in Cali (socal) and i would def prefer an in-state college, but if there is a great college out of state then ill consider it.
Major: Right now, im not sure what I want to major in. Im leaning towards actuary, but I also like the aspect of business/marketing/finance.
GPA/Test Scores:
GPA: 3.4 (i did really bad sophmore/freshman year, but i got all A's besides a B+ in my second semester sophmore year)
1290 on the SAT (retaking soon)
APWH: 5
ECS: volunteer at discovery cube ( a science organization), and im one of the developers for one of my dad's apps (which has around 1000 users)
Curriculum: I dont really mind, the dining hall/food spots have to be good though. however, i do like the aspect of paid internships/colleges helping you get a job through connects (stuff that usc has)
Size: I can work with a small/medium college, but I do like having larger colleges
Costs: I dont have a budget and i dont need financial aid or anything
Schools You're Currently Looking At: A reach is uci and any of the ucs in general besides uc merced. A few safeties I have is UCR, UCSC, sdsu, csuf, and AU.
Additional: a dealbreaker is a college without any shops/malls in a 30 minute radius. also, not having a good dining hall/food spots is also a dealbreaker. campuses like NYU is also a dealbreaker.
Be Detailed!: I hate heavy rain; im okay with snow/cold weather it just cant be freezing cold. I like sunny weather/temperate areas (like cali lol). I want the campus to look nice, but honestly i dont really mind if its a bit ugly as long as it has all my needs. I really like uci's campus, so a campus similar to uci or even ucla would be great. Also the dorms have to be nice. Again, i heavily prefer in-state colleges.
