Location/Region: I live in Utah, although for personal reasons I do not want to go to college here. Schools that participate in WUE are good, although I am also open to schools in the east coast as well as the DC Area. Washington and Oregon are my preferred states.

  • Major: I plan to double major in some form of biological science (either biophysics or neuroscience) and humanities (Russian or international relations)

  • GPA/Test Scores: 3.5 gpa unweighted, 1370 SAT (sophmore) plan to retake in October

  • Curriculum: I would love if they had a dance team, and performing arts groups in general, I am also interested in cyber security (these are optional things I am aware I cannot have everything).

  • Size: I prefer somewhere that has a variety of people and opportunities, so it must be big enough to grant me that, or near a major city.

  • Costs: I do not have a particular budget although my parents will not be assisting me in paying, so if I do not get scholarships/aid my plan is to get a third job.

  • Schools You're Currently Looking At:
Oregon State University, University of Oregon, University of Alaska Fairbanks, Colgate University, Long Island University offered me a fairly generous scholarship

  • Additional: I want a single dorm, so I want those to be available, also I have many interests and love to stay busy so I do not want to be somewhere with nothing going on/in the middle of nowhere.

Reed College in Oregon might fit with your humanities focuses, however it has neither a biophysics or neuroscience major, though it does have biochemistry. It is smaller since its a liberal arts college but its in Portland if that helps.

A strong option on the East Coast that I think might be fit for you is George Washington. It's a good school for your humanities, and it also has your biology courses. Since located in DC its gonna meet your size request, and you should get some aid, though I have heard its a hit and miss. We do have some GW students you can talk to on this server also. I also believe your GPA and (current) SAT are in their 25%-75% percentile range.
