I’m worried that the non direct admit program will bring in tons of students. If it is oversaturated, how well does the faculty handle it? Will I get my classes or is it a competition for the slots in class?

i asked the cs advisors this exact question
they assured that they always have enough space for the entry level classes and have never had any issues with space
they also said that with the new CDIS building, they might in a few years make the CS program direst-admission only which would help it look more selective
similar to how Engineering has it

honestly it depends on you
sure wisconsin classes can be easy but u get the foundation right
after that it depends on you if u wanna work more on it
and the higher classes will definetly get tough over time
one good thing abt uw is that its very interdisciplinary and getting double/triple majors and minors are really really easy
