You will need to apply after your freshman year to actually be assigned an engineering major

You can look up online to see the placement stats of different engineering majors

#

Typically a student will get one of their first two choices

#

But aerospace and mechanical engineering are two of the most competitive majors to be accepted into

This only applies if you were admitted as an engineering undeclared major

#

If you are presciences it's a different story

#

You will also have to maintain a specific gpa and take certain prereqs to be able to apply to your desired major
