Boston University offers ED 1, ED 2, and RD. It accepts the Common App with an $80 app fee in addition to being a QuestBridge Partner. The portal after you apply is here.

Test Score Policy

BU is test-optional and allows for self-reporting of scores.

English Proficiency Exams

International students are required to submit either a TOEFL, IELTS, or DET score. More info on competitive English proficiency scores here.

Financial Aid

BU's net price calculator and current cost of attendance are available online. BU does not offer need-based financial aid to international students.
All students applying by December 1 are eligible for consideration for the Trustee and Presidential scholarships. Additional scholarships are available to National Merit scholars, College of Engineering applicants who have participated in FIRST Robotics, and applicants eligible for Alumni & Friends scholarships. why is BU asking for financial documents before my decision? I mean shouldn't they be asking for it after I am accepted and if I then decide to enroll for my I-20? (International student here)

schools process financial aid before you’re admitted so they can send you your financial aid award with your acceptance

BU releases decisions in late march and decision day is may 1 so there isn’t time to process everyone’s financial aid after decisions are released

That’s why on the app they ask if if you would like to be considered for general studies if you choose something other than that as your first choice
