the most succint description I can give is that Oxford is a liberal arts college with a great emphasis on gen eds

To that point, you'll notice some departments are lacking in course offerings at Oxford

ik human health majors have literally one course at Ox - foundations of global health

i will add however, that because of the smaller population u have a better chance of getting some courses.. for lack of better words

e.g. foundations of global health iirc goes p fast at Atlanta because everyone who's human health needs it

so, my best advice is to get a sense of what Ox is like (i.e. consider visiting)

(Usually) That means they also really care about you and your personal success

(usually.. there's like a select few profs that r awful.. by select few I mean Dr. Nichole Powell.. she's a sweet person but .. try to avoid her)

If ur concerned abt jobs and research opportunities, there's a job fair at the beginning of each semester which is how I got my job actually -- they guide you through the hiring process. Research isn't hard to get per se but it's definitely sought after, so having a great personal connection with profs can help in securing them
