im in liberal studies! talk to ur advisor about early transfer if u really want to but the general rule of thumb is that u direct-transfer into cas after two years
BUT you are able to take cas classes starting ur first year even (maybe second year is a safer bet but still) as long as u talk to ur advisor about ls requirements and also take into account which courses are available for you to enroll in
in terms of ur aps they probably wont be prereqs for the liberal studies core courses like arts and cultures, global works and writing (those will fulfill your college core curriculum, which is a cas requirement that lsc's program helps you fulfill) and will more likely be oriented towards science reqs or major reqs related to cas
so dont rush transferring, especially bc it's a lot of unnecessary work if ur final result is still studying in cas! i see lsc as basically a side-school to cas in that regard
you only really need to consider early internal transfer if you're looking into schools like stern or tisch, or some specific steinhardt majors maybe

NOT WEINSTEIN dorms are small, bad views, I don’t like their dining hall. it is very close to campus but I feel like if you want to be close go with rubin then. founders is great, dorms are huge. paulson is AMAZING but I hear it’s hard to get into as you have to apply. third north is nice I think but kinda a lower tier for me. I do really like how they have an amc right across the street. I’ve never seen lipton or brittany dorms, lipton is very close to campus though and it has a nice waffle machine if that’s your vibe 😁

I got really lucky though

most of the "horror stories" I've heard have come from lower floors
and all of those are from previous students actually nothing this semester
sizable dorms with a common area and really nice amenities (spacious lounge and study rooms, mini theater, dance studio, music rooms, good amount of laundry machines, pool + ping pong tables, tv, vending machine, etc.)
when I wrote that I was thinking about the study rooms in the basement but I also just remembered there's study rooms on every floor from 2-10 iirc
plus lounges on some of those
what I'll say is that if you're from a big city like I am you'll feel right at home at third north
since it's apartment-style it's pretty reminiscent of what actual nyc living is like (I've been here for 18 years help)
