I never said that there isn't a chance that it'll hurt you, just that if you already paid the application fee (which for Georgetown you need to do well before you submit your application due to their weird process), there is little downside to submitting it. Like, if you already spent the money, you might as well shoot your shot is all I am saying.

Honestly just know why you want to go to Georgetown and be ready to explain who you are, what you like to do, and your background. My interviewer was really nice and helpful through the process so just try not to be too nervous and let it be a flowing conversation.

do some research beforehand and come prepared with questions! i would print out a resume and maybe some other things like research abstracts or smth so that the interviewer has something tangible to look at when writing your evaluation (if they decide to keep it—-for me, one did and one gave it back)

one thing my interviewer was really happy i asked about was the required theology course

it’s called “the problem of god” and it’s apparently a well-loved course

Tbh it depends. My friend’s georgetown interview was fast and he asked her like 4 questions like why georgetown, tell me about yourself, what are your extracirriculars.. for mine (I had the same guy) he would ask a question and I would answer and he’d ask a follow up question and we’d sort of have a convo about it before asking the next question (he ended up asking me way more than just the 4-5 questions my friend told me to expect) just be ready to talk a LOT and have fun with it and be natural, as if you’re talking to a teacher

I’m in Harbin which is pretty average in all capacities but location wise it’s the best

I’ve never had issues with rats or plumbing but those can affect you

In general the freshmen dorms aren’t the greatest but it gets better. I’m excited to see what I get next year

There’s no specific difference, it’s just that political economy doesn’t have as many courses to take as gov and Econ. The latter is a double major and thus you would be taking like 20 courses unlike you had credits prior

In the SFS you can’t double major so international political economy is the best choice if you want to get that blend
