Well most top engineering colleges are incredibly similar in job opportunities and internships. Michigan has a big difference with alumni connections and networking. The connections in Michigan, if you take advantage of it, are incredibly hard to beat. There are a multitude of Michigan engineers in a multitude of fields.

You honestly can't go wrong with either of them though

Me personally, I would pay cheaper for school. Plenty of those other colleges you have are excellent and are more affordable. But if cost really isn't an issue, as in there would be no struggles or financial worries or any setbacks whatsoever, then I would choose other factors to consider beyond just jobs and internships and reputation.

Ann Arbor is a very liberal city. Given how large the school is, like many other universities, there will still be some conservatives, and there will be vastly different viewpoints cause that's what college is, but majority of the university and Ann Arbor leans liberal or progressive. Kamala, AOC, and Obama have visited here plenty of times. I believe Biden did as well to sign something.

For a good amount of students in most colleges, it's a mix of financial aid, financial support from parents, and student loans.

Beyond that, there's the people that get their costs covered by their parents, getting enough financial aid to go here for free, and the rare few of people who take an extreme amount of student loans (which I do not recommend doing for any college).

Usually speaking, you definitely want to go to a top school in the ib/consulting space, and it's quite crucial for that. Michigan Ross would definitely be worth it for that, but it also depends on the amount of debt you'd be taking
