People get into CS + X majors without much interest in the +X topic. It is also true, however, that you do need to show interest. A lot of people make up or exaggerate what interest they have. A common thing with CS + Ling was CS kids just talking about LLMs and such, though others are able to write essays that demonstrate interest where the person themselves doesn't especially care about the topic.

If you have no interest, put in some time to make it seem like you do (or better yet, apply to a major where you have genuine interest).
