You can ask your academic advisor asap. They usually don't let people transfer into pratt after freshman year because then you'd basically not be able to graduate on time because of the sequential nature of the degrees.

But yeah you should be able to do it freshman year asap, you could talk to an academic advisor about it once they're assigned in the summer

most ECE majors double major in comp sci too. So there is a lot of overlap in the cs major and there isn't any internal transfer requirements to do cs at duke.

In terms of humanities vs stem coursework. I'm a little confused because you mentioned having a humanities profile but also mostly (?) advanced stem coursework. Regardless, pratt does have fewer foreign language and humanities requirements to fulfill but the difficulty in courseload increases and freedom to choose classes outside of engineering decreases .

It's usually mostly academics sat score for class work. But they like to see some sort of passion for it to determine sustainability within the major, i.e. low likelihood of transferring out. Anyways if you get in you should be able to transfer based on the coursework alone. If they don't let you transfer, rip. You could maybe ask a dean in maybe before decisions are out so you'd know if u can do engineering before committing but no guarantee how they'd respond

Due to an unexpected scheduling conflict our selection team was not able to meet at the end of next week as planned. While we were hopeful we would be able to announce students progressing to the Semi-Finalist Individual Interviews by today, it appears that we will need to hold off on the announcement of those decisions until later next week.
