People called and were told either this week (always a Friday, so) or mid-marchā€”take with that as you will. CMU is known for being very heavily varying in responses! You likely will not receive a email telling you about the status update, did not happen during ED, and therefore we assume it won't happen RD. We will @ everyone once the time comes for results tho!

There is likely two rounds of acceptances, the earliest ones. Then comes waitlisted, then auds, and then finally the rejections. The span of the rolling decisions could be through the weekend all the way to the end of the weekā€”really insane.

Erm, apart of this: deferred students donā€™t get a boost. I asked about thisā€”youā€™re looked at alongside regular, nothing special. In addition, youā€™re applying to your major and not the school entirely. Good luck everyone!
