tbh double majoring as an engineer is tough, but lot of engineering majors will minor in other areas (including music!) but USC also has an open course policy so you can still take thornton classes as a viterbi student and audition for some thornton ensembles as well

alright i was a former cognitive science major, but one thing ill say is the department is very small, but at least when i had a 1 on 1 meet up with a upper classmen for cogni sci seems like people diverge into very different routes, where some go to academia to study more with computational neursocience, others go to healthcare, etc.

dont know if it really aligns much with ur artistic side

but anyways usc cs games is def one of the best programs here, although it is mainly in viterbi, it is still kinda jointed with Cinematics arts

USC offers ½ Tuition for National Merit Finalists. All scholarships cover 8 semesters of enrollment.

Can I utilize the scholarship later on, or do these need to be consecutive semesters? I have National guard paying tuition and want to utilize the scholarship during my graduate years when I switch to ROTC and no longer have tuition benefits, or perhaps utilize it when I go to school part-time continuing music courses (if possible).

They’re two separate classes. Both 4 units (or two units whatev), A is usually a prerequisite to B, but you don’t have to do both A and B in upper divs. (ex 252A and 252B are both sophomore level acting classes, focusing on different things, but A is a prerequisite to B and both are required)
