technically all the official events are during the day, but for me some of the best parts of admit weekend was hanging out with current students, joining spontaneous late night conversations, hitting up the late night food places etc

"sleeping on the floor" is admittedly not a top 10 enjoyable experience but i would say getting a taste of actual student life far outweighs a few (i.e. two) nights of slight discomfort

I know they aren't legally obligated to give it to you (only students attending are) but I'm honestly just curious about how they saw my essays/grades/etc.

Legally speaking it probably wouldn't be an issue if they redacted most of it (there's a lot of sensitive info in an admissions file, but "nah I don't like this dude's essay" isn't it)
But realistically speaking they probably have a policy to automatically reject any request unless it's from an admitted student exercising their FERPA rights, so I doubt it would matter - that being said I don't know for sure
