I have one from independent research where my mentor (same guy as above) where I did write a paper but I worked a lot less closely with him (he just reviewed my paper and if everything made sense)

there’s no specific admissions outcome if you do or don’t get an interview, a good amount of it based on alumni availability in general and the availability of alumni from your area (if there are any)

obviously their acceptance rate isn’t 15% so it genuinely does not reflect your decision
