My why major essays were p generic, just like "how ece already changed and will continue to change the world, and how i want to be a part of that"
I didn't put much effort into my purdue essays, but i did focus on some particular things that i'm passionate about for the why school essay. (interest in racing = purdue formula sae, marching band = performing at indy 500 prerace (ties back to racing again lol))

but i applied ECE and got in so its def less competitive than cs

my common app is also p generic, like just growth in an activity and what it taught me

i think a lot of people ignore the weight letter of recs have tho, just putting it out there
