Only runs every 45m
To get to Costco specifically you’d need to take an additional bus in woodland (212) that only runs once an hour
Which means you have to line up both those timings
The 212 is also extremely inefficient bc unlike the 42A/B system where it goes in a circle and one bus goes in one direction of the circle and the other goes the other way the 212 only goes one single direction
So you end up with this lovely discrepancy

The pro gamer move is that the Amtrak gives you a student discount code you can use but they say you have to make your reservation a day in advance for it to work
But on the train you’ll use its “unreserved” meaning if you wanted to travel same day you can just buy a ticket for over a day in advance where the student discount code will work and use it early
As long as you’re traveling within a year of purchase and through the same stations you chose regardless of day they dgaf

We also have 3 different Amtrak lines that hit Davis
There’s the Capitol Corridor to the bay, the California Zephyr to Chicago, and the Coast Starlight which you can take either down to LA or up to Seattle
If you’re willing to go one stop over to Sacramento you can also get on the San Joaquins route which goes through the Central Valley down to Bakersfield
