not to be that person but waitlists are always a little bit rough. berkeley had a 24% waitlist acceptance rate in 2023 but it dropped to <1 in 2024. it really just depends on that school's institutional priorities for that specific year. not saying you shouldn't get your hopes up but don't not commit (and fall in love w) another school just bc of a previous year's waitlist acceptance rate.
