but if youre in a super small town with no big cities/grads nearby, its harder to get interviewed than if you live in boston

admissions isn’t an exact science (especially at a school that is entirely holistic review like harvard). people who get in one year could be rejected in another admissions cycle. your application review can vary wildly even depending on what mood your AO is in. there’s no reason to assume your application will go one way or another

you’ve done everything you can to prepare but once you hit submit it’s entirely out of your hands. don’t assume you’ll be rejected just because you think it’ll hurt less but also don’t assume you’ll make it to xyz stage of the review process because there are so many variables at play
