if that's the case then consider which school has better curves and is generally more forgiving with your grades
of course GPA will be the primary thing you need to focus on in such a case
im not sure you would be sacrificng much in terms of quality of education by remaining in Pomona. You'd know as well as I do that the claremont consortium is really elite so it could be all down to the opportunities and possibly prestige if you'd pick cornell over Pomona

brooks is a small community but yes campus + campus population are very large
cornell has a good pre-law thing i think the 4+1 or 3+2 whatever but i think thats ilr not brooks
but i do know prelaws in brooks
