The main goal of a fly-in is to give opportunity for people who don’t have the resources to travel to the campus though, having been visited to the campus just takes the spot for those who haven’t gone there. I’d like to think the AOs were reluctant to give it to you since you described how you were there. I do quite agree that it won’t fully reflect on you since there is a preference to students who haven’t experienced the campus.

yes that makes a lot of sense, i didnt realize that going into the process my friend told me to apply so i did. im glad that they rejected me to make sure that people who otherwise couldn't have seen the campus are able to! makes me glad that they're making the effort
