#Final post before app season - applied math major looking to finalize list

I do want to narrow it down. Any recommendations
this is completely up to you but there was another guy who was majoring in math at RIT who told me he found it very under stimulating, and found that the uni focused more on engineering. To quote, he just found the math program there to be very mediocre
Thank you
I'm a little concerned about app fees, but I'd still take any suggestions. Or any schools on the last bullet that I should add to being more seriously considering.
if you absolutely had to cut one id cut mizzou, the scholarship being all you had to say about it speaks volumes
but tbh i wouldnt cut down your list, i think its at a good size, and more schools means more opportunities for scholarships
bro only a very small proportion of the kids apply to 20+ schools
average is <10
a2c is not representative of the general population
also its not like they're applying 10 reaches
they have a good mix
i think the number is fine
I can discuss all the reasons with you in DM, and maybe they are not valid, but my goal is not to go to a reach school necessarily.
Okay. I will consider applying to more. Thank you for the thoughts.
i mean, i only applied to 3 colleges... 25+ is insanely overkill and is the exception, not the rule
but for your situation (seeking honors colleges and merit scholarships) i def think applying to 8-12 is a very suitable amount
