Intended major (Biology / Microbiology)

cost is important and can be a factor but don’t make the argument based solely on financial reasons -

UCLA

#

at UCB it is also tough to get research opportunities because of how many people

#

UCLA as well

#

I feel like USC’s bio program is not good enough to warrant the cost

#

Like yes it’s good but it’s on par with ucla

getting a condo is also a crazy pro to have

#

Im just going to say that you can study abroad at all of them

#

But personally Id choose UCLA since its overall a tie between UCLA and Berkeley but your parents will get you a condo at one and not the other

# stuck hazel wdym lots of hippies at berkeley 💀

Lots of hippies at Berkeley is in fact a true statement and is something a lot of people consider when deciding on Berkeley because Berkeley is a very extremist school and not everyone is comfortable with that atmosphere because there’s an echo chamber there and if students don’t agree with the thoughts there and voice that 😬

ohhhhhhhhh that kinda hippies

One guy from my school chose ucsd over Berkeley bc of the atmosphere

i chose berkeley because of the atmosphere lol

My teacher also is a firm believer in the fact that Berkeley’s humanities departments are communist

I’m not sure why anyone wants that atmosphere but each to their own 😭

why wouldn't you want a protest-heavy free speech atmosphere

And cancel people who disagree with them

I don’t mind their protests and whatnot i just don’t want college to be an echo chamber that doesn’t let multiple perspectives (regardless of whether i agree with them or not) to flourish. UCLA is also guilty (although not to Berkeley’s level) of being an echo chamber which I’m not happy about but it’s better so

Duke and dart are the ideal kind of mixed atmosphere i want
