Schools: Bryn Mawr vs. UNC
Intended major: Economics/Sociology/Education
Similarities:
- Both are giving me a full ride LMAO
Bryn Mawr
Pros:
- I love Philly and how accessible the city is
- The queer culture
- Great resources for getting internships and work experience
- The close-knit community and consortium with Haverford + Swarthmore
Cons: - Might be too small?
- Not large enough for me to excuse the lack of diversity in the student body
- Double majoring is difficult
UNC Chapel-Hill
Pros:
- I would love the large school atmosphere solely because I won't feel alone as a FGLI and POC student
- Great for economics and double majoring isn't too hard
- Great career prospects (college advising)
Cons: - I hate North Carolina and I under no circumstance want to live here
- Not as walkable as Bryn Mawr and Philly
- Southern descrimination
- I might hate large classes
Tiebreakers:
- The quality of life at Bryn Mawr vs. UNC: I want a good balance of academics with career preparation and social life, the last thing I want is to be studying 80 hours a week.
- Where alumni end up: I want to live in a walkable city and staying in NC is not my goal.
