Intended major: double in political science and english (pre law)

Pros:
- i pay instate tuition after freshman year
- great social scene
- lots of resources & opportunities
- i wanna go to norcal cause i grew up in LA
- obviously trivial but rankings…
- suuuper strong in poli sci and english
- great study abroad programs (i rlly wanna go to east asia or london/paris)
- love how politically active the school is (major plus for me i hate ppl who r politically apathetic)
Cons:
- toxic hustle culture
- competitive to a fault
- realllyyyyy big
- frat culture (? idk tho)
- housing issue
- harder to find friends
- not very diverse (huge asian population and being chinese myself and from hong kong i want to meet more ppl from different backgrounds)
scripps
Pros:
- 5C consortium so u can meet more ppl, clubs, cross register, etc
- small women’s college in bigger setting
- supportive community
- cute campus
- dorms with KITCHENS so i can BAKE!!! (i loveee baking)
- socal weather
- i like their core
- more interesting classes (from what i saw from a quick browse thru the catalogues)
Cons:
- kinda dead social scene (from what ive heard)
- rlly far from LA & claremont is dead
- i don’t rlly wanna be in socal again
- paying full tuition (a lottt more than cal)
- again trivial but not ranked as high
- also lack of diversity except its majority white
