idk abt uwash cuz ive never heard of reapplying, but ucsb is pretty well known for cs, and its location is probably one of the best u can get in a college

I say Purdue or ucsb

#

15k more is a lot imo

#

but then again that changes based on your situation

i also think applying to cs next yr at udub is eh

#

so ^

plucky fulcrum
#

So ucsb job market isn’t that great

#

Go UDub or Purdue

verbal quiver
#

if you got admitted into presciences and not CS at udub

#

do not go there

#

it is a 100/100 difficulty to transfer into CS and it is near impossible

#

in fact the school itself advises you go elsewhere

#

bro

#

just go to ASU

#

its the best school ever

#

nah im jk

#

imo I think Purdue is the best school on this list as it has a lot of national recognition

if you wanna do higher education (especially law school) you'd ideally want to save up as much as you can and your undergrad degree won't matter much for brand or aything its more about the education so i'd say go to purdue

like everyone else is saying, if you’re dead set on cs, don’t go to uw. it’s nearly impossible to switch to it as a pre-sciences major, so really only consider it if you are willing to do something else that isn’t dtm or capacity constrained

#

also, i’d argue purdue isn’t exactly in a no-name city - it’s about a 2 hour drive to chicago and a 1 hour drive to indianapolis, plus once you’re actually standing in the middle of campus grounds, it’s hard to feel like you’re surrounded by fields, but if the commute isn’t something you’d want to do then maybe look towards ucsb

#

it does get cold though

dim gorge
#

where are you getting 33%

verbal quiver
#

oh

#

is it really that easy

#

lmfaooooooo

dim gorge
#

even still it’s the riskiest option out of the three you listed, assuming you got accepted into cs for those

#

100% for purdue and ucsb vs 33% for uw

#

plus you’ll still need to take all of these classes, pass them and do well in them, and reapply, while hundreds of other students do the exact same

#

yeah

#

no, 136 has a prereq of 135

upbeat fractal
#

i mean you could do better things with the money no?
uw cs is def the most reputed but like others said it's not something guaranteed and Purdue cs is pretty well known so no i don't think my answer would change
ucsb is a great school too though and i love cali so you don't have any wrong choices tbh

dim gorge
#

if you have the credits for 124 and 125 just do 126, i think most courses that have 136 as a prerequisite also have 126 as one anyways

#

purdue cs is guaranteed and is still t20

#

idk if its worth the risk to switch at uw
