Hi guys
I'm an international student (asian female) and i’ve received most of my decisions and i want some advice on these 2 options:
- lafayette college (major: chemical and biomolecular engineering)
- skidmore college (major: chemistry, concentration biochemistry). i am also invited to the London first year program
lafayette
pros:
- stronger STEM and engineering program
- slightly higher ranked and considered a little ivy
cons:
- they charge winter housing
- reputably not so good food and dorm
skidmore
pros:
- the London first year program
- the campus vibe just seems more lively
- free winter housing
cons:
- more artsy and not as reputable in STEM
the remaining cost of attendance after aid for both is $25k (with a 60k grant 2k6 work-study plan for skidmore and 58k grant + 3k5 loan + 1k work-study for lafayette).
as the two school is pretty similar, any insight or advice on any aspect of these 2 colleges would help, many thanks!!
