Skidmore vs. Lafayette

Hi guys

I'm an international student (asian female) and i’ve received most of my decisions and i want some advice on these 2 options:

• lafayette college (major: chemical and biomolecular engineering)
• skidmore college (major: chemistry, concentration biochemistry). i am also invited to the London first year program

lafayette

pros:

• stronger STEM and engineering program
• slightly higher ranked and considered a little ivy

cons:

• they charge winter housing
• reputably not so good food and dorm

skidmore
pros:

• the London first year program
• the campus vibe just seems more lively
• free winter housing

cons:

• more artsy and not as reputable in STEM

the remaining cost of attendance after aid for both is $25k (with a 60k grant 2k6 work-study plan for skidmore and 58k grant + 3k5 loan + 1k work-study for lafayette).

as the two school is pretty similar, any insight or advice on any aspect of these 2 colleges would help, many thanks!!

i visited lafayette and it was super nice, especially the engineering building

might be the nicest eng building ive ever visited

so thats what I would chose

I can't speak too much to this, but I remember seeing that some of the graduate schools that the engineering students went to were quite prestigious (berkeley, gtech, stanford,...). But either way, reputation for engineering isnt as important as in other fields, Lafayette is an accredited program so its totally fine
