#Pitt vs Penn state

Do you have the means to visit both for a day during a long weekend?
i visited pitt and liked the campus but i’m not visiting penn state until march
Do you have to commit to either before then? I think it would be right to visit both and see.
I think you'll be able to come to a decision yourself based on what you want fairly quickly after.
pitt has ~20k students, and penn state has a little more than double that
no i dont have too before then i just wanna get a better idea for like what’s better major wise
both schools seem quite similar academically, so i think itll come down to the campus vibe and the surrounding area
are you pre med?
as of right now no i’m kinda looking more towards the research side of things but that could change
and i know pitt has a lot of opportunities in the surrounding area pertaining to that
it looks like penn state has higher median earnings for biology, but i think thats just because of cost of living differences
median 4 yrs after graduation is 50k at pitt, 57k at penn state
also do you know anything about penn states summer session bc i got into that and not fall so i kind of have mixed feelings about that also
im starting in the summer at fsu, ill be doing a 6 week mini-mester before the fall semester starts, taking 2 classes
i would assume it would be a similar story for penn state
my summer break is practically gone because of it, i have less than a month between high school graduation and first day of summer semester
so if you value having that time off to work, travel, etc pitt might be a better idea
yeah i mean i would prefer not to do it but i don’t wanna miss out on going to a school that i might really enjoy just bc i don’t wanna miss one summer for school
yeah, thats why i am going for summer too
