#cs / ux junior looking for colleges

Adding some more to what was already said up there^^
CMU ( information systems, ux design concentration, you could add HCI second major as well)
RIT (NMD, HCC)
Georgia Tech (Computational media)
UIUC (Information science, ux/hci pathway)
Purdue (ux design)
WashU (you can do CS with an HCI minor, I hear a lot of people double major)
I want to go in the same direction as you with cs and ux design!!
Hopefully this helps haha
I applied to almost all of the colleges listed in this thread so far so let’s see where I end up
I think Purdue ux isn’t too hard to get into, RIT would be a safety, UCSD has cogsci and you can choose a specialization in design and interaction
You’re instate for ucsd so hopefully it would be safe enough haha
Not sure if you want to do cognitive science though
I don’t really like RIT :-(
It’s in Rochester so it’s freezing cold and prolly snowing a large portion of the time, there isnt much to do around there I think too. I read on Reddit (reliable?) that the food isn’t good, and if you search up the demographics it doesn’t seem to be very diverse
Apparently the gender ratio seems to be a problem too haha
Those are just my conclusions from my research though
Campus looks ugly too
UNC might be worth a look; our CS and IS programs are super strong, a lot of kids double major between them, and IS majors can focus on UX (+ many BSIS grads go into UX)
BSIS doesn't have explicit "concentrations" but there are suggested elective groups (I think this one specifically would be good for UX, and these aren't the only UX/UX-adjacent courses)
yeahhh these are the things that turned me off about it
and it was my #1 at the time too
Yeahh!! Where do you go now if you don’t mind me asking
a SUNY
i of course wanted to major in ui/ux or hci but i’m stuck with CS and a design minor 💀
best of luck to both of y’all though!
Ah that’s not bad either 😔 I might have to do that too
How’s CS going?
Good job!! You can do itttt
