#UT Dallas full ride vs UW Madison CS

tbh.....
it all comes down to your own skillz....
UW is a big investment but it is a big name too
UW is a reasearch powerhouse too
UTD is also a good school
have heard people saying they have a good team

That’s for grad tho no?
idk not sure...i dont have any info abt grad school
How expensive would Madison be?
Like 40-80k in debt ish
40 or 80? 😭
I would choose Madison if it costs 40k
And UTD if 80
I just don’t know how much fast I can graduate
You get what I mean
So it’s like I wanna have a solid solid plan for both
Before I pick
But with my credits + language that’s 2 years shaved off if I just grind cs
How
its not t10
its 22
not worth like for a full ride
to UTD which is near a lot of top tech headquarters
yes if u didn't get scholarship then id say yeah go to uw madison

but for a full ride and no debt obv
Just wanted to add in here that I got a friend rn at UTD who was able to shave off one and a half year in their graduation track and also got an internship at Intuit in his first year
do with that what u will, I don’t know much about Wisconsin but in terms of job opportunities for CS it seems like it’s not as prospective as Dallas
I would take the full ride/3k tuition imo unless u want to do research
IF you are ambitious, if you can afford to go to a better school and you will stay ambitious after your degree -- go to a better school. Why? Make better connections with people who are smart and equally hungry/motivated; better recruiting; better learning. Better growth curve that will compound over time.
Well ackshually it is 9th for cs 🤓
where lmao
purdue way better than uw madison
Eh. Not really.
this is how it goes: MIT/Stanford, berkeley/CMU, UIUC/GT, Caltech, Princeton/Cornell, UT Austin/UMich/UDub
Purdue comea somewhere near 20
and OP, UWMad is def good, better than UTD, but I would only justify the cost if it were a CMU, UIUC/GT/UT Austin etc. Imho, go to UtD and take the full ride
ut any day
