UNC might be worth a look. I think our grade deflation is limited to STEM :P
iβm not sure but i know haverford sends tons of people to get phds/masters
yale
so why not cornell? what about the rural is bad ? bc theres a 3+3 prelaw program
jw
very valid
Add cornell π
u will love it trust π
we have a cat cafe
ithaca is like a booming metropolis
hmmm
I think u will like USC
NYU
Princeton while in a rural area is a short train ride away from either Philly or New York
Boston University could be fun, also Stanford
Look at the Claremont Colleges too
Pomona, Pitzer, Claremont Mckenna, and Scripps (if you identify as a woman) could be good
Also UMich, Swarthmore
in general since prelaw u wanna look at elite LACs
(Claremonts, Swarthmore, Williams, Amherst)
fair
Rice
Tufts
Boston College
UChicago (kind of tough but goated law school)
uchicago is nice in general
hmmm
I was a T20 shotgunner but for math
LMAO
Northwestern for sure
Vanderbilt
Emory
Econ n Law
BU might also be good
I like BU better than BC cause im math but I think BU is on the same level
good strat
start early π
i imagine you are a good writer
If you start early you can shotgun no problem
I was better prepared than most ppl and i ended writing essays for 40 schools
@mystic imp this is who I want representing me in court fr
Good idea
Hmm
Fair advice
ngl its not the writing its the topic that is hard for the PS
dont give yourself any time limit for that, just start early
supps r different because they are easier to write (less personal and more straightforward) but there a lot of them
personal statement is kind of funky
you have to play around with it a lot until you find that golden one
I personally EDβd
but keep in mind i am a near full pay applicant who was shotgunning and in love w/ Cornell
and it happened to pay off
I would pick ur favorite school and do it personally if you can afford to
ED is a rare tangible boost in an otherwise random process
might as well
Whats ur favorite school
brown kind of nice for that GPA
i would personally do yale if i was prelaw
wait
Hmm
I would be wary of REA
wait what?
yale is dangerous?
dang
π
interesting
sometimes you want the flexibility of having EA for privates
so be smart when REAing
however most likely you will be finee
options r nice but like
for me
i was gonna go to cornell no matter what if i got in
so i lost nothing
hmm
only do ED if you would truly have no regrets
I would say
u sound like a good applicant
also ED isnβt as big as ppl realize
yes this is true
but ED wont protect u form that
so like
i would still only do ed if u love the school
If you write ur essays well, and truly do answer them, youll get somewhere
Duke is a nice one though if u are considsering ED
I think a 17 percent ED acceptance rate
i like duke better than harvard personally but you will naturally fall in love with schools throughout the process
for instance i ended up falling in love with the claremonts to the point where they were my number 2 choice
ooh thatwill be fun
since ur prelaw u have the advantage of having everything be more structured
ye
also go on the website and use this erver to talk to ppl
hearing current cornellies helped me a lot
@jovial rock go bears!
yea u have so mich time
this time of year last year i was set to do uchicago
I even did a program there
yet here i am now
everything changes
just be disciplined, keep up thwt GPA, stay on the lookout for opportunities, and youll be fine
what is it right now?
you should rea georgetown
cant find many better places for polisci
clearly!
brown doesn't really have the best pre-law advising + no law school but poli sci requirement is only like 10 credits πΈ and law school placement is rly good anyways (MANY MANY t14s) soooooo (a little biased) but yeah + brown is way more lax than a lot of other prestigious schools so you can get good grades and have time for other stuff (hopefully... i havent experienced brown yet but wishful thinking)
yes but run those net price calculators
i've yet to find my golden one
my mom was the same.
true! I think urs is more brown
π UCLA
this woman istg
shes stressing bc she thinks pvd is too scary
π NOOO
its providence π
its also. literally brown
she's like there was a crime the other week
π i still get uchicago crime notification emails
LMFAO
Gender? Because a lot of womenβs colleges (like Wellesley) are getting really high up in the rankings, itβs pretty close to Boston and has a good PoliSci population
pronouns of op are she/her
