Just some background: I'm in the middle of my sophomore year so I don't have that much done in terms of tests or near my final gpa before applications. My dad just wants me to look into more colleges and make a list and idk where to start.

Location/Region: In the US. preferably no where extremely hot/unbearbale weather (super humid, etc. Fine with cold though). Also preferably in or near a city, not rural/suburb.

Major: business generally, haven't decided what specifically in business yet

GPA/Tests: 4.0 uw right now, 4.36 weighted. Might be a 3.95 uw/4.31w for this semester after finals, not sure my career gpa. PSAT:1400. Haven't taken other tests yet.

Size: Any size but maybe medium-large.

Cost: No budget. I can't apply for financial aid so don't consider that.

Schools im looking at: UC berkeley, Upenn (have 1 legacy parent), UCs in general (ex: UCSB, UC davis, etc), USC.

Additional: I'd prefer safer areas but honestly whatever is fine. I think being on or around the coast would be nice but it's not required. Weather is moderate, but maybe on the less hot side during the summers. I'm fine with going really cold. I'd also prefer somewhere with decent rent prices or a dorm system if the area is expensive. I don't want a religious college or one that is extremely liberal. Preferably walkable. Preferably clean/safe on campus. Food probably also not hella expensive either

Feel free to suggest safety schools too because i dont think i have any

You don't need to sweat too much abt a list right now... your interests may shift a little bit, especially during your junior and senior years

#

Right now what you have is fine for where you are in HS right now

You should look into campus quality/vibe. This is lowk overlooked.

#

Do you want a walkable campus (not ucsd)

#

Do you want a clean and safe campus (not berkeley)

#

etc etc xd

I would say for starting on a list just focus on schools that have courses/majors you're interested in. As you do more research you'll understand more of what you want in college. Google is a good place to start off
