Location/Region: USA. Any state (preferably international student friendly). I am from Bangladesh <33

  • Major: Engineering/Chemistry/Environmental Science/ Env Studies

  • GPA/Test Scores: GPA-5 out 5 (according to my curriculum and I was the salutatorian of my class).
    SAT: 1500

  • Curriculum: Any (Except pure liberal arts ๐Ÿ’” sorry)

  • Size: Any

  • Costs: My EFC is $10K per year. ( Yes I will be needing a huge financial aid as I am from a low-income family)

  • Schools You're Currently Looking At:

  1. Emory University (Already applied)
  2. Pitzer College
  3. Connecticut College
  4. Johns Hopkins University
  5. Yale
  6. Michigan State University (Alr applied)
  7. Brown
  8. UW-Madison
  9. Bates College
  10. Case Western Uni
  11. Dartmouth
  12. Furman Uni
  13. Kenyon College
  14. Northwestern Uni
  15. Uni of Rochester
  16. Duke Uni
  17. Grinnell
  • Additional: Of course, the number 1 preference would be financial aid. However, I'd definitely keep places with warmer weather on top of my list. Colleges that have a good international ranking are a fact too! As an international student, I am certainly looking for a top-class institution to attend!

you have a good profile, I know for engineering, I think you can apply to a bit more prestigious colleges, while admission isn't guaranteed and i don't know your EC strength, you have a chance, and they generally offer slightly more aid as they get good donations

#

For fit colleges you can look at good public university(UMCP, UVA, UMinn, etc.) for engineering

#

but public will generally offer less aid for international students

#

so check for that

except for a couple schools which are need blind for intl

#

so focus on those

SO I have no idea if I'm allowed to talk about my EC's here

#

but here goes-
ECA- 1) Environment Focused: (Club President, Passion Project, and writings, and CSO23 Finalist)
2) Research: National Research Internship (Water Quality), Summer Program, and SJWP recognition.
3) Internship+Volunteering: (Affiliated with 1 international organisation (CARE BD), 1 local org)
Note: Both are affiliated with climate change.
4) Extra: Music Portfolio available, QCEC award, 1 intl. Olympiad award (not IMO equivalent sadly)

#

this is just in short!
