Costs do you need scholarships?
i dont rlly care where in usa
Major: engineering/geology/systems/informatics/criminology
costs: no i dont need scholarships
I remember you mentioning you're intl
Fwiw, there will be no public school "safety" since many states prioritize in state residents
Smaller private schools may be better in terms of "safety" quality but they wont be schools you find on USNews T20 (which doesnt speak to their quality)
I think it would help to know what your career goals are, since different schools have different strengths and weaknesses, and engineering, geology, and criminology are very different fields
your right, safeties will never be as good as say, UCI or UCLA, but at least I get to have an education. I guess this question really has too any personal elements so ill find it out myself, thank you for the pointers
Safeties can be as good as elite publics; the best school for you will depend on more factors than just prestige :)
I view college as an investment for my career. I'm going to college so I can work a job I love. I applied to the schools I applied to because they offered majors that would land me a job I would enjoy with little to no debt. And of course, my goals arent the same as other peoples goals, and thats okay!
Its important to consider what you value in a school and why. You dont need to ponder the meaning of life, and a little bit of introspection can be super eye-opening
prestige is at the bottom of my list (its a reason im not really keen on apply to Uof Toronto for example, because its rank and its quality are not proportional
me too! I just want a job
