The legislative scholarship is rlly difficult to get ahold of bc most legislators get asked rlly early on for the form, and they almost always choose to nominate the same people every year for the scholarship

Tulane is also not that hard to get into so long as you do ED or show heavy demonstrated interest with stats in their range, while with WashU, I believe they have a more holistic process and cares more about qualified applicants instead of interested applicants

i was mainly confused on why Tulane was considered one of the most stressful colleges but then had some of the happiest students and is a top party school??? i couldn't tell if it was because they were genuinely a work hard play hard environment, if the people just partied and disregarded their actual college work, or if Tulane is just a stressful school but in a really fun area

im not saying i expect an easy education but i certainly don't want an impossible one

It’s a kind of difficult but definitely doable academic environment—I mean, you can even make the time to party if you want. It just means that the students can balance their lives very well, and since it’s known for having the happiest students, I highly doubt that there’s going to be an impossible load of work

There’s Tulane students who are able to double, even triple major and still graduate on time (I’ve asked about this before)

oh yeah they do have a pretty unique cirriculum, i mentioned it in my why tulane. its not like normal state schools where the major is kinda rooted on all sorts of classes, like Tulane majors are usually only 30 credits without any electives or other required classes or anything

I qualify for the Louisiana promise thing and I got a merit scholarship that was a lot more than what my parents could pay for, so they took into factor my Pell grant and tops and made it to where I won't pay anything if I go

so im an underrepresented student so they offered me an extra preview day for admitted students, Bienvenue Tulane, and they give anyone whos eligable for a pell grant a free hotel room to stay in when you visit new orleans

honestly yeah - tulane is like a bubble inside of all of new orleans. the city is horrible with crime and stuff but the area where tulane is at is nice

How likely do you think acceptance is if I was deferred EA but have been contacting my admissions officer almost daily?

Had a rep come to my school who said someone (who was very underqualified and did RD) did that and she accepted them purely through their dedication because they continually emailed, etc

I’m qualified. But like the RD % is so low so I’m j freaked out

I signed up for springs scholars and have even beeen expressing interest in that program to my rep
