💀
anyone know when they might release the next wave of admissions
@stiff magnet shoot your shot lil bro
i think i saw jan 1 as a potential date
👀
Ooooh
Hi
Hell no we don't rep NJ here
Texas baby
It most definitely is
Brown frat boys are the weirdest thing ever
buddy from massachusetts trying to rep texas
why 🤨 🤨
is this finna be racist
I’m brown too
then why is it weird
has anyone recieved the new brunswick one
they're coming somewhere around mid jan
eh only certain parts
when i lived in north jersey i was the only brown kid except one other in the entirety of my school and brown kids were nonexistent in surrounding ares too
but im half white so i just told people i was mixed when they asked 😭
hate to agree but it is true
but then all frat boys are weird asf
just that the brown frats try to imitate what the other frats do and its just eh
educational frats are chill though
only the frats that try to act like white boys are weird asf
why where the other 2 so quick
Same LOL
they do rolling
nb doesnt
well im p sure they do rolling i didnt apply to newark and canden
but last year and years prior all rutgers admits got accepted during jan
and i mean like all
all the college commit posts on insta to rutgers happened in the span of a week end of january 😭
Nb is also just flooded with applications and now with common app I believe it’s the largest application pool in university history
is anyone else getting text messages from rutgers nb?
only rutgers newark has been spamming my number and email like crazy
does this mean rutgers nb rejected me or sumn shi ☹️
duh
but i’m tryna find a specific one
Nope
nah only from newark
my friend got accepted to rutgers nb today
he got into newark and camden
At this point, I think they do newark and camden first, then those who have applied there and expressed interest for nb get priority
ive heard that internationals get earlier decisions then normal applicants for nb were they international?
if not that damn might hear from nb sooner
Nope, in state
oh damn this gets me a little hype then
also in state
did he put priority for nb?
im guessing yeah
i applied international and still havent gotten a decision so probably not true
yeah I know a few people who’ve got their decision from rutgers
they do it in waves I believe
oh
getting into one campus doesn't decrease your chances for another right?
got rutgers newark decision, but mainly want to go to nb (also any news on when this is coming out)?
when did you get it and when did you apply to new ark?
Like 2 days ago and applied nov 28
!rutgers
Nope
before february
it’s in waves
like said before
Guys
my Rutgers's Portal section "Under review" is still locked
any clue why?
I applied EA
No
What
yeah
Cause NB hasn’t released decisions yet
does rutgers send you an email or text message when you get your decision
i’ve been eagerly waiting for rutgers newark to come out but i’m not sure when
They have started to
My friend already got in
I think they are reviewing those who applied to Newark and Camden first
And then once they process those, they will move on to everyone else
That is the trend I am seeing
ye
usually comes later
ngl ive heard that some people are alr getting in
but like most commonly comes out mid jan
No
Wowzers
Wowzers
I applied to New Brunswick early, though like a couple weeks ago to Newark (Out of State because I could)
Do u EA or RD
Ea
My thing has not gone under review yet
got into newark somewhere in between these two days
wasnt even under review when week started
new brunswick under review rn
2 schools at nb under review 1 says under process
im assuming that means they finished reviewing ig
At this point, I am going to say that if you apply to a satellite campus and nb, you get first priority for nb application review
If you only apply to nb, you are second priority
bruh
and I checked off the other two because the fact I don't even wanna go there but
aah
What I said may not be completely true, but that is the pattern I am seeing
I applied for Newark as well and still no decision 😔
i applied to newark pretty late
like 3 or 2 weeks ago
because i found out i could apply to 2 more extra schools off the site
and somewhere within these 2 days i got a decision
RBS and school of sciences
idk i only applied new brunswick and already under review?
no decision yet
mine not under review lol
yea i was mainly jus replying to the guy who said possibly like if you apply to others you get priority yk
it probably means nothing tbh
I also applied to Newark, since they have a nice program for my choice of major. Wouldn't mind getting into either
I see
i think they're starting to do more new brunswick apps now
I recently got an admission acceptance email from Rutgers (also updated on portal), how long do I have to tell them whether I’ll attend or not? I saw that May 1st was the day but then I saw another thing that said 1 week but was confused about under what condition would 1 week be the limit, so anyone who is familiar with Rutgers’ admission policy, let me know!
Nvm, got some info from someone, pretty sure it’s May 1st, I’m gonna go breathe and calm myself down 💀
I know EA is EA but this early?
wow
It’s def not 1 week lol
Kinda curious, but has Rutgers NB ever rejected somebody from in state because of yield protection?
People from my school have been rejected, but probably because of bad grades
Congrats
My thing has not gone under review yet
Does applying to the honors college affect the decision time
tbh
for oos students shit's hella harder
but instate i even seen people with like 3.0 Gpa's get into SOe and such with medicore ec's and prolly a decent essay
Rutgers is the
peak of mediocore
worth it for instate students imo
oos students it depends.. def worth it if your in the tri-state area.. NYC, CT and NJ otherwise ehh
there are better options with more prestigious programs
What do out of state people think of rutgers
Cause in nj, kids tend to talk trash about the school or devalue it
Now, not so much but a few years back, yes
good safety option
close to ny & pa
mid weather but better than cornell and newhaven
large campus, crowded buses
pretty fun campus life
worth a shot honors college
yeah thats all
Thanks for sharing
Based on what you are saying, the opinions are similar between in state and oos
This is the largest complaint I have heard about the school
I have a friend who is 1 year older than me now at rutgers, he likes it 69% of the time
Ah. The funny number
these stereotypes are basically from him, he tells me everyhing about that place and I agree with him
I mean just look at the map
I see
Getting around is annoying
Also, I've heard that the dorms are bad
thats true, but honors college makes it much better
thats why its worth a repurpose of an essay from CORNELL for it, like I NEED IT
please
If I get into hc, my parents will most likely make me go to rutgers
I want to move far away from them
rutgers is basically the best target/safety Im applying to based on campus atmosphere
Id go there rather than uiuc, gtech and osu
I don't like the atmosphere of gtech a lot, I just like the research opportunities
But at the same time, I have not been to gtech's campus
and the funny thing is, I found rutgers in 11/2, ea is 11/1, so I missed it by like a few hours
Is it cause almost everyone there is an engineer
And more graduate students over undergrad
I swear it is just the cooldown browsing session after submitting 5 apps
Damn. You were so close
I didn't even know rutgers was a thing before
That's fair
It's not an extremely prestigious university
But they have decently high rankings
rutgers really sounds like an ivy toned down
I am sorry if thats offensive
thats my impression
Nah
hm
I don't take offense
Rutgers Princeton rivalry be wild
It is a big 10 school
it is just princeton but not that good at research and larger
So sports tend to be a huge thing compared to other schools
Essentially
It's not about doing sports but the atmosphere itself. School spirit will be larger and people will prioritize going to football games
yeah
Only a few ppl know abt it but those who do think it’s p good
not yield protection but i knew some seniors last year that got rejected for idek what
like they werent crazy in applications
but they werent dumb either
like they shouldve made it in but didnt
one went to OSU other went to northeastern after that
they were pissed bc they wanted to stay instate
lot of companies tri state and even farther respect rutgers
as an in state i dont get why people trash on rutgers so much
like if anything im grateful i have such a good school as a safety
I think it's because people trash nj in general
But it's a great state
yeah
idk i guess so many people water it down as a safety in state that it doesnt matter if the schools good or not
like the only people in my school that i see respecting rutgers are the ones that cant make it in because their stats are so b ad
eveyone in my school shits on Rutgers
Poor rutgers
then they all go to schools That arent good as Rutgers
nobody on my schools shits on rutgers
they be like "whats rutgers" until they are the one recommended to be applying
I am the same
I literally did known about Rutgers not until 11/2 morning
fr i see people go to uDelaware and stuff
ngl i usually think people like them got rejected
you in state or oos
yeah i was about to say lol
everybody in jersey knows about rutgers even little kids lol
by not know, did you at least know it existed or not know at all?
remember so many kids in elementary' school wearing rutgers merch
I legit learned about the existence of this place in 11/2
prolly not even existed
I wish I was joking
in state?
hes international
ah ok
so not concerning at all tbh
aehy
yeah not concerning
i wouldnt have known abt rutgers if i was in texas or smth
unless i watched sports
but thats it
ngl if i was in texas, id go to ut austin
I don't watch sports either
yeah same
asians don't broadcast american college bowls
with me its if i dont get into reaches im just going to rutgers
If I was in texas I would go to UC
and if another school similar to rutgers gives me a scholarship ill go there
as of rn binghamton gave me like 16k a year
i think
around that
same. and at least for me, the thing with rutgers is they accept all my community college credits, or at least an overwhelming majority of it
newark did but ik im making it into nb
id much rather go to montclair than end up at rutgers newark
if im in state with a 1500 and 3.8 and get rejected then id actually mald
idk why i applied newark tho, i kinda regret it
newark isnt that bad tbh, its also the og business school and nb just takes what newark has
only diff is new brunswick is more selective
in admissions
but id still choose nb obviously
nah, i dont really like the city, been there a few times, i feel like i would feel unsafe if i had to go there a lot
i lived there for 16ish years and its honestly not that bad
cities in general arent safe
and newark has gotten wayyy better over the years
well i applied ed to nyu, so kinda being a hypocrite there
camden is my only issue lol
i was considering ed2 for nyu after jhu deferred me
but ngl i dont want to pay 80k a year
i mean i would totally understand if they rejected someone like that from out of state, but in state, id be geninunely surprised, because if you really think about it, there'd be a legitimate reason for someone with those stats to actually end up at rutgers, like lower in state costs.
they do deferrals?
in my school no
well the only reason why i applied ed2 to nyu is because of stern. i didnt really find a reason to go there if it wasn't for stern.
eh
i only know of 3 in my school that applied besides me for ED
otherwise id much rather end up at rutgers
they all got rejected
yeah same
like if Purdue Engineering doesnt accept me im just going rutgers
what do you want to major in?
mechanical engineering
oh that's nice
also someone in my school on our naviance got rejected with like a 1550 or smth and a good gpa
they mustve had a criminal record or smth 😭
yeah another had a 1600, national merit finalist, etc got into MIT Stanford Harvard and got rejected from UMich and rutgers lol
last year
dude was cracked
ok yeah, then that's totally understandable in a sense
I think the explanation of yield protections works this way
imagine having everything and you apply to a 50ish school they be like "really?"
true true
only one that had me slightly confused is umich because they really are selective
out of state
UMich is already in of itself quirky
They can see that in your essay you could be a better fit somewhere else
i only really care about umich because one of my friends it a umich meatrider lol
and i want him to get in bc of that
mf has umich merch on at least once a week, his dad went to umich etc
his dad even had an og tom brady umich jersey 😭
they have that shit hung up in their living room wall
flag on the play
unnecessary dickriding
if he doesnt make it into umich our friend groups gonna have to console him for a month 😭
damn man, i hope he gets it. that’s why dream schools are a double edged sword
yeah
thats why mentally with me like i was crushed for a few days when jhu deferred me but i just told myself that at least im going to college if jhu doesnt work out
i also told myself that at least i wouldnt have to live in baltimore
unless i get in RD 😭
yeah that’s good
my friend had upenn has his dream school and got rejected and he was pretty crushed
yeah one of my friends had upenn as his dream school
even his counselor told him he'd probably make it in
he had perfect stats
still got flat out rejected
i felt crushed for him tbh
yeah it sucks seeing your friends destroyed
bro same
i dont Wanna Get Rejected
i Hope i get a Good scholarship Or something
i Like to consider
i don’t think you will
yeah this is why i find yield protection stupid asf
like some people with great stats apply to schools not as great as ivys because they want better
aid
guys guys guys
I just realized
as an intl I accidentally sent the wrong toefl score to Rutgers and UT Austin
The thing wasn't written on common app because it wasn't a highscore so my counselor initially told me its okay to not put it on even though I did it
So I submitted a toefl score that is not as good as the only one stated on common app, AFTER that one and not on common app. Does this mean that my academic integrity truncation will disallow me from being accepted here or anywhere?
Aye fellow Rutgers applicants, got accepted to Newark & Camden. Waiting on my New Brunswick decision (out of state, from the Southwest)
aye
Nice
wait wtf is rutgers tuition going to be like for an in state
my stat teacher was talking to me ab his prior students getting absolutely dogshit aid
and it totaling to nearly 40k a year
from rutgers
so they chose to go oos at that point
like how much would rutgers cost me if i didnt dorm and lived at home
do you live near rutgers though
yeah
well kinda
25-30 min drive
so close enough
ill take the 30 min drive to a class over another 10-15k addition a year yk
or worst case scenario i rent nearby for cheap
/roomates
bc dorming at rutgers sucks
and overpriced
30k if you stay on campus
17k if you commute
like what
can you transfer into the honors program?
i didnt apply honors though i should have
got into newark and camden and waiting for nb
Nope
nah you gotta do the essay
it used to be where they would just flat out tell you if you made it in
im pretty sure this year for us we had to write an essay now
we got unlucky
essay wasnt bad tho just annoying
gotchu thanks
Did they do that because of the switch to common app or was it to reduce the potential candidates
The rutgers essay was one of the last supps I did
they still probably use the same process of just gpa/sat scores but they just filter it out even more with people who are and arent interested
Once I got the topic, I wrote it pretty quickly
so that way maybe people with more interest actually get in
I see
Fair point
probably to filter out people that just didnt care less about it
They want to give the opportunities to the right people
Cause rutgers honors has better dorms and less cost
yeah
So if you were to get it, you are most likely going to take it
im pretty sure the cost part isnt too insane
Unless you go somewhere else
My friend's brother pays less than 10 grand at rutgers and he is in hc
For him, it was a substantial discount
a lot of people in my school got honors and they said the extra aid didnt really add a dent to anything
but free money is still money
yeah im pretty sure some got less then 10k
That is true
Probably those who are top 1%
honestly the sunys have been giving good aid to me so i might end up comparing my rutgers cost with the suny costs
but then i live 25 mins away from rutgers so i could just commute
and not worry about the dorm costs
Is suny giving you instate tuition?
That is what I heard they are doing for nj kids
if they are thats insane
Probably dorm for the first year so you get the experience
Nice
which takes a chunk off even out of state costs
I haven't gotten a single financial offer either
Probably cause fafsa hasn't released yet
honestly im gonna try to find out abt that because my parents pay nyc taxes too because they work there
I wish you luck in your endeavor
thanks, good luck on admissions!
Thanks!! You too!!
when do applications for honors close?
December 1
Now, rutgers is on rolling admission
Since ea and rd deadlines are over
yeah it closed im p sure
damn
new brunswick when 😭
soon
im guessing most admissions offices are closed or just slowed down bc of break
id say after jan 2nd things will start coming in again
based on last years senior acceptances in my school a big chunk of them came mid january
🙏
idk about rutgers specifically, but many admissions offices are closed right now during break and won't open until after new years
i applied like in november and it still says under review as locked
anyone konw wahts going ojn?
did you apply to newark/camden
almost all the people with under review unlocked that i talked to irl had a secondary campus
if anything expect after jan 2nd tbh
all admissions offices probably closed for break
idk
it just says rutgers
idk how to see that
pretty sure its here
i cant really click here anymore bc i added max schools
send a ss
click on either add school/view applications
and itll show you the schools you've applied to
if you want to i think you can still add newark/camden but id just do newark if anything
i cant sened images
for the FAFSA, does anyone know which one's the correct school code for new brunswick
oh oops I can't send the image
but it shows up twice, one of them's 6964 and the other is 2629
I just realized I forgot to send SATs to rutgers holy sht
doing it now
wait what
I did submit it as early as 1month ago
and they re saying they didn't receive it
please like what does this mean
Omg I have the same issue as you
You just need to email to admission office to ask them if they received ur score yet
For mine there was a difference in the email of my sat account and my applucation account but later I told them that I change my cb account to my application account and then they approved it
the portal
what was the exact wording of what you did
minus all the personal stuff of course
does anyone know how to fix this
Wdym
I am not quite sure I follow what this exactly means
my cb account and mysat account uses the same email
but my common app uses a different one so
just send ur sat score
through commonapp
i mean
collegeboard
its still registered under ur name
Sry I mean email not account
Yes if you sent ur score to rutgers from your cb email and if the cb email not matched to the common app email, they will not approve it. It haa to be the same email
so how do I do it
Just email them
every other college I applied to os okay with that
Yeah me too lol
Just email them they handle it very quickly
Just tell them ur cb account , id and email you register to CB and said that this score is from you
Thats all
If they need more clarification just give them
what the hell
what is "contact us"
I am actually infuriated right now
I can't even find their email for crying out loud
just what is their email
@gusty quarry just what email address did u use
click contact us bruh
if you ever bothered to click the brightly underlined text it would take you to a VERY obvious contact us form
How does Rutgers business school newark compare to New Brunswick and Camden?
ohh thats clickable
damn I feel stupid
out of all the things I could have tried I didn't click it
new brunswick basically took newarks style of learning
its the same
its just that new brunswick is harder to get into compared to newark
idk much about camden though
i just know that RBS newark and nb are basically the same
wym
New Brunswick is probably better by most if not all factors in general
Its the main campus
And it's in a safe area
Compared to Newark and Camden
like the teachers/education etc
like the courses are the same im pretty sure
they learn the same stuff
just diff campuses
id 100% choose nb over newark though just bc of campus
why is nb campus better
better area, more selective(which means better students get in), newark kind of takes everyone so those that arent that smart get in as well, and as starman said safer
also its better in other majors
rn im just saying business is equal in both campuses
but like for engineering or smth nb beats newark
basically the more competitive school
in the end your degree is just going to say Rutgers
not a campus
but sometimes employers will ask for transcripts and stuff which will show which campus you went to
and id prefer mine to say NB over Newark just because its more competitive and respected i guess
@silk crypt i think i got instantly accepted for Newark RBS
within a couple days
at most a week or two lol
yeah same lol
i found out i could add an extra two campuses early december
Unless the rest of the college application process goes sideways Rutgers is not on my mind
got in mid december
rutgers nb is on my mind because im in sate
state
i alr know i got in
but like if i dont get into purdue or my reaches for engineering im going rutgers
or binghamton
bing gave me some scholarships so ill compare
My school limits the amount of applications we can do and Rutgers is one I did without anyone knowing because it is SRAR
damn that sucks
whats your limit?
It's 10, but this year our senior class fought really hard in weird ways to extend the limit to 12
a lot of going back and forth with the school board and we extended it to 12
i was hoping 15
what
oh ur international
yeah
goddamn
I just kinda applied everywhere without telling anyone because why
as an intl
why do we have limits anyways
@soft sage but doesn’t your school have to send recommendations and transcripts?
I’m really pissed that we have limits, if I can pay for the applications and get them done they should t be stopping me
they are all on the common app
its literally the same thing
unless you are talking about MIT and Georgetown and such
Still my school limits it to 12
Only exceptions are like UCs and UCAS and Apply Texas, they all count as one application each
does anybody know when NB decisions for EA will start coming out? Like I know it comes by late January, but when do they start releasing decisions?
i think theyve begun already for a few ppl
Does it matter if they applied via commonapp or through rutgers’ own portal, in terms of the order of the decisions it comes by?
My friend got accepted to nb already
But he also applied to Camden and Newark
So i feel like they are reviewing applications that have already been opened by Camden and Newark before they move onto nb only
in state?
Yes
ah
i’m in state and have not received a nb decision yet
As in under review?
Mine has not even gone under review yet
I applied to Newark so it says decision made but nb one just says in process
Idk if it’s under review or not
I see
Do yk anyone that got their nb decision
One of my friends did. He applied to business, instate.
i might be stupid but are there separate sections on the portal or separate portals for each campus
i only applied to nb
No
When did they apply
I applied on oct 30th
I honestly don't know
Rutgers is so slow I heard back from every college except this
That is what someone told me as well
Either they are very slow at processing or there are a lot of people they are on the fence with in terms of admission
Plus, honors college admission is a whole another thing
They prob got a lot more applicants this year cuz of common app
Cause it's usually the best of the best students in there
Yeah
Most likely. Probably more oos kids
I didn’t even apply for honors
Really?
Yep
True
I feel like class of 25 has it worse in more ways tho
In general
Cause they have to deal with dsat
A bunch of 25 kids I know tried to get it over with before paper was discontinued
I believe it is
But the questions change based on how well you do
So if you do really good in section 1, section 2 questions become harder
If you do bad in section 1, section 2 becomes easier
Then your score is based on the accuracy and question difficulties
Did you take the test at all
If you didn't, then you saved a lot of time
Sat prep took away so much time from me
Couldn't really study for school because of it
Yeah I did I did okay but not good enough for Rutgers
Their avg went up to like 1330 for sas
I mean it’s worth it tho I wish I studied harder
I regret going test optional
Yeah I really hope so cuz idk what I’m gonna do if I get rejected from Rutgers
hey when ea rutgers come out
what's even the point of that
Hopefully end of jan
Probably to make the test tailored to each person
But honestly, who knows
wish i took the dsat when i had the chance
like when they first implemented the "test" tests
that would count as scores but was a trial
Oh
i got offered it for free but the day it was scheduled was a day i had something
to do
I remember when they were promoting that
yeah i fumbled
I decided not to do it cause I barely did any sat prep at the time
because i took a dsat practice test and almost scored perfectly it was so easy
Nice
whateva it is what it is
also njit was whack this year i think
has it always been competitive?
lot of people i know got waitlisted
i got in
but like people with similar stats to me got waitlisted which i find to be crazy
esp for njit
bringing that up here bc no njit chat lol
Is rutgers applied math better than msu and umn?
Right!! Lots of ppl from my school got waitlisted as well and it’s kinda surprising cuz my stats were def not good as them
Hopefully Rutgers isn’t that competitive 😭 I always thought njit was easier to get into
w 1500+ sat intl and decent Ecs are my chances for sas good
Also legacy but idt they consider
Yes
yeah i got wl
tbh they said all stem majors
got waitlisted
nah i got in
what the f
like 70% of the pool did
I applied rd, is that like bad
it wasn’t me it was just the sheer amount of people that applied
not rlly
youll just get your decision later
or is rutgers terminology different
nah if you have above avg stats you’ll be fine
i forgot to submit my sat and have a 3.7 and got in for mech e
its the same shit
wait so for u guys ea is already out?
going new brunswick though if purdue aint work out
tbh the schools are just depended
ea for njit is out
i applied mad early but i think theyre rolling i forgot
not ea2 i think
fuck rutgers bro
i didn’t know they even had rolling till they added it on the common app
idk its where im ending up if t20s doesnt work out
and here is me finding out about this school about 11/2 1AM
I missed the mark by THIS much lmao
are you in state or oos
wait is rolling a new thing for this season or what
idk i just know they had an ea deadline and then i think past that its rolling
should be fine tbh
at least that is how they put it on the common app
what does that mean
oos acceptance rate tbh is hella crazy like 40% i believe
In America, I don't stress on colleges, the colleges stress on me.
its not a hard college if your a NJ student imo
like as an international even if you got in dont stress on rutgers its most worth it if you’re in state
ive seen stupider people get into harder schools
TCNJ has a lower acceptance threshold then rutgers
I have seen several, because both their parents went to ivies
idk about that one tbh a lot of people i know that went to tcnj were on the slow side
nah they do. at least online they do
and on my scoir
i didnt even apply to tcnj
what is "regional colleges north"
only nj schools i applied to were njit rutgers and princeton
and how is tcnj not even in the national rankings
pretty sure it is but not high up in the rankings
W line up
pretty sure rowan beats it nationally too
why not stevens
idk tbh i got lazy when i saw the extra essay and would prefer new brunswick over stevens anyways
facts fuck hoboken
ong i live by newark and hoboken and nothing good about hoboken
💀 i only applied to rut
rare vivid sighting
idk most people on A2C are prestige whores
Isn't rutgers the second best school in NJ or smth
yeah. it was almost a ivy
Never have I been offended by something I 100% agree with
LOLL
i mean rutgers is a t50 so we’re pretty lucky to have it as a safety
it’s one of the better state schools overall so i’d say so
it was an ivy in the past
idt it ever was
like bc of rutgers my applications were safetys and then just reacher
it was just one of the oldest schools
yeah it almost was but i dont think it became one
oh i thought before it became rutgers it used to be
it was one vote away but they didn’t wanna lose government funding
yeah lmfao
i applied to both 💪
nahhhhh come on
it’s financially better than most options
true
wait how cheap is it
with honors college
but on the other hand, you have to take buses ON CAMPUS
do they give out honors colleges to intl students like me
honors college i think gives a minimum $10k scholly
so i think like probably 5k
but that’s a complete guess
uhh if your a nj resident not much?
i haven’t actually checked
if not I just repurposed an essay for absolutely nothing at all
bruh rip
but thats if you make under 100k a year
honors college + in state would be sub 10k i think
really?
that would be ideal
ik someone payin 25
not even. cause honors college give you 5 grand off tuition a semester
no
fuck no
bro wtfff
rutgers is expensive if you make money
pretty sure
rutgers is like 40 mins driving away from me
fuck the commute
yea it's like 30
but if you make under 100k there’s something called the scarlet gurantee
basically if you make under 60k you pay no tuition
if you make between 60-80k its 2k per sem i think
and 80-100 its 4k i think per semester
charge hella more for housing and tution
i didn’t think it was 30k+
it pricey lol
i thought it would be like 20k or some bro
that why i was askin about honors college scholarship
then again it depends on tour finacial situation
Its more accurate to use a net price calculator since there’s many factors involved
thank you george santos fan
if you got 2 parents and your instate and your parents making 100k+
it could be different then outta stage
nah not for me LMAO
i meant ciwan
fuck that bro
u gotta clutch up that uchicago 😂
shiii they not giving me aid brah
but whatever
they give some merit
i didn’t go into the college process expecting merit aid for the record
like rutgers only gives 2 full merit scholarships per
shi class
i sold the bag in sophomore year and never recovered
class
holy
i lowk sold soph lol
but
yeah
came back junior
tbh i sold freshman but
i was close to it but i ended up selling in my bio class last week of school
upwards 4.0 got us going
W
we getting there bro trust the process
my school does weighted only
for the first 2 years i think?
mayhaps
nice
im waiting
tomorrow night i heard
i thought it was the 15th…either way
idk about your school but in mine a ton of kids go to IU
IU kelley that guranteed acceptanc
i heard 15th too but my friend applied and he said he was hearing that it might come out tomorrow
i’m not familiar with the program
There is a whole discussion about it
nah most of my school goes to rutgers cause like. we live 15 mins from NB
so by proximity everyone ends up at rutgers
most of my school goes to ccm
or some t30
i think 3.8 and 1400 is direct admit
a joke i heard is if rutgers seed an in state kid with a 4 in front of their gpa they automatically accept them
loll
i would believe it although i do think it depends on da program
SOE is more lenient imo compared to fucking pharma
They are taking so long and it’s stressing me out
oh fr
ye
but hey it is what it is
yep
it comes out when you get your acceptance and it says smth like “congrats blah blah blah honors college welcome”
Fr I heard back from every college I applied to except Rutgers
what other schools
bet
😭 i heard back from non
other than one
only heard back from Newark
man you should’ve done pitt
nb comes out on 31st
I only applied to in state schools so like njit, seton hall, kean
montclair?
No I didn’t apply to Montclair
Yeah it looks cool but my dream is Rutgers lmao
i hope you get in
does it matter which campus for you?
i live decently close so i can just drive lol
so far only negatives ive mainly hear abt rutgers were the buses
and dorms
ill essentially be avoiding that
nah living in nb seems fun id do it
I got into Newark but I wouldn’t go there
could you transfer to nb from there
if you don’t get into nb initially
(not saying you won’t)
I think so but I’m just hoping I get into nb cuz it’s closer
yeah bc this is the first year it’s on common app
