Location: I'm in west Michigan, I'd prefer to stay in the midwest. I'd like an urban campus as I don't really want to have to drive to go to stores or restaurants.

Cumulative GPA: 4.33

SAT: 1490

Major: Computer Science

Curriculum: Interested in economics classes and cybersecurity.

Size: Medium sized.

Costs: I'd like to minimize costs as much as possible. I'm not low income but I'm not exactly well off, so I'd like to make it as affordable as possible.

Current Schools: Accepted to UM Flint with a full ride (tuition) merit scholarship, but I'm curious about options as affordable/more affordable.

i had similar stats and got in

#

#

cuz my school weighted things idfferently

#

just have 6-8 aps

#

my concern for both of those is cost unfortunately
purdue would be pretty good if it wasnt out of state tuition
um-ann arbor is expensive and i get no scholarships for

#

umich is very expensive ill agree w that

#

and purdue gives scholarship

#

so its like 35k as an OOS college which is dirt cheap

Western Michigan University has a decent program

#

And the in state tuition is fairly low

#

Arizona State may give decent aid

#

Kettering University could be affordable, but check the net price calculator and consider co-op income

#

UToledo has good OOS scholarships

#

But UMich Flint seems like a good deal

#

I went to Kettering, which is also in Flint, and itโ€™s an alright college town

Other oos schools are 60k like Maryland Wisconsin UMich etc

ann arbor quoted me at $30k when including all costs which is definitely too high - i agree with you there
however, i dont think ann arbor is the only college in my state... im just not too sure where to look at for good scholarships

cloud marsh
#

yea

#

but if you want a top tier cs program

#

you're going to have to look at the minimum 40k

#

at purdue is the chepeast out of all of the colleges in the midwest area

#

i dont need a top tier cs program, i need something which will teach me with decent academics while not putting me in debt until im 45.

Beating a full ride is going to be really hard, you would likely get some merit scholarships at ASU with those stats (definitely should get in state tuition)
