International student. currently enrolled in an international AP high school. Needs financial aid. Considering to apply to honors school. Loves mountain biking. Considering to be a pilot. Going to EA all of them.
Can't stress the aid part enough.

Intended major: Mech/Aero Engineering.
Similarities: great mech/aero programs.

UF Pros

  • near beaches
  • great climate
  • lots of fun

UF Cons

  • flat terrain
  • no connections

Purdue Pros

  • one of the best aero programs in the country
  • got a on-campus airport
  • big aviation environment
  • lots of flight schools around

Purdue Cons

  • not a lot of fun
  • flat terrain
  • no connections

NC State Pros

  • lots of connections
  • good mountain biking environment
  • beautiful scenery

NC State Cons

  • more expensive than the other two

Tiebreaking considerations:
Can't stress the tuition cost thing enough.
Location: preferable less woke places.
Weather: anything but freezing cold is ok. prefer if there's rain.
Size: preferably small schools. but i dont object megaschools too.
Region: mountainous and/or coastal. rather mountainious than coastal. best to have both.
Also, I think I don't rly want a place where theres nothing outside the campus. A campus located in the middle of nowhere is not enjoyable.

Again, the tuition and aid thing is the most important factor for me.

idk about the other schools

none of them offer any financial aid.

#

but if that isn't a factor, purdue engineering is tier(s) above the other 2

# modest hamlet purdue is really good for flight

so if i took purdue's part 141 Professional Flight program, it will give me a better shot when seeking employment, than, if i went to other schools and did a part 61 alongside my bachelor degree?
