But Texas is just Texas so it’s hard to say no to, I would just have to restart all my connections

I was writing my appeal letter to UT (got capped in state and applied COLA major), and my eng teacher told its good and stuff cause i was talking about my adhd diagnosis which happened during college app season and how since this new semester ive been doing better academically and stuff. but i showed it to a few of my friends and they said it sounds whiny and complaning and they said i should talk more about new extracurriculars and awards and stuff i got, but now idk which side is right. cause my academics are not the best, esp considering UT and how much they look at your rank, and my rank moved up like 3% after i got on meds and stuff lol, and so i think my academics were the reason i got capped cause my ECs are really good, but at the same time i don't want the appeal to come off as me complaning and making excuses when I'm really not, undiagnosed ADHD did impact all my life and it is categorized as a developmental disability, so I thought it would fall under "extentuating circumstance". I wanna provide the admissoins team with another perspective for my why my application is the way it is but idk atp

ofc theres a very high possiblity that UT doesn't even read appeals and that it's just like some lottery ticket, but in the case that they do read it I want it to be the best it can be
