MET (as an academic and professional program) is better than Stanford in almost every way. Either way it’s not a bad decision, but if you want an easy college experience, name prestige in your personal life (professionally theyre the same), desire Stanford as a school outside academics more than Berkeley outside of academics, go to Stanford. Everything you could possibly think of for MET EECS beats Stanford no brainer, it’s hard to even support the Stanford decision. I’ve talked to a lot of MET and Stanford CS people the opportunities resources that MET gives is incomparable to Stanford. Also not to mention performance wise MET students are doing a lot better in terms of getting work experience and internships than the average Stanford CS person. I heard this from a Stanford CS student I know personally who’s performing at the higher end of the CS students in his class. Ultimately, no bad decision, if it was MET at Stanford people wouldn’t take a second look at the other options, but people just get socially influenced on their decision

They all have their strong suits. IMO the decision comes down to MIT, Stanford, M&T, MET. You can’t go wrong with either but M&T is top for finance/fintech/wall street, MET is top for tech management but is also arguably top for tech startups and VC, Stanford is top for VC and startups, MIT is top for quant, research, academia. All of these options are equally good at everything but if you get to decide between them here’s the knit picky outlook on it

If you don’t know at all go with Stanford but if you’re leaning tech management MET is the way to go

And if you got into Stanford, I think there's a study that people who got into good schools and went to other colleges instead don't really affect their success too much (there's some nuances there though not entirely true), plus you can save a ton of money for not going to top school
