Well, they changed the rules, SP24 is the last quarter where continuing students can switch into CE

after this quarter, CE is no longer an option for continuing students to switch into

UCSD is a really good spot for pre-med and I would’ve done it for pre-med

Was nearly committed

iirc San Diego is big for biotech/bio industry if im not mistaken

Which has a lot of research in related fields to be done I’d assume

3 hospitals on campus, recognized globally for bio research, T10 in nation for Biology, research is very attainable and not hard to get, la jolla got internships

That's just some of the stuff I saw when researching before deciding to commit

Ultimately I chose to commit because it was the best school I got into + really really good for my major/pre-med

so it worked out

availability of research and clinical experiences is important. Probably the most important info to get from a current student is grade deflation/inflation, size of intro premed classes, and ease of acquiring recommendation letters (how available are STEM professors)

and personally I'm not really that into research so I prefer knowing if there are any clinical/care related opportunities I can get at UCSD

at this point I'm not so sure you will get answers from a current student instead of speculation on this server. I recommend that you instead email some current student leaders at UCSD. There is almost certainly a premed or pre health club at ucsd with student leader emails listed. Email them and tell them that you are an admitted student intending to enter as premed and ask your questions.
