it has increased from 2.8ish to 3.1ish in the past 15-20 years

but from what ive heard, apparently even if u get crazy high grades in assignments and stuff, if u dont meet a test average, many professors will force curve ur grade down

so like u got a 91% in the class, so thats an A, but ur test average was a 75, and for an A ur test average has to be above 80%, so theyll make ur grade a B even though technically u shud get an A

but i think in some cases (unfortunately not many) it is just a genuine understanding of the material

like i think in chm 255 the class average has gotta be in the B range even though C's are supposed to be the average. theres no curve in that class, they just value actual learning of the material. no busy work either. 1 hw assignment a week of practice problems, 3 midterms, the final, and a few attendance points

and i just got an email today saying my status has been updated but i don't see any update

the letter and everything is the same letter like that date is from 2 months ago

there is no new decision letter
