but u cannot apply through questbridge

It is possible to get financial aid for the program if you apply outside of questbridge!! You have to apply earlier though I think

Not matched, but accepted into two of my choices for RD:

In my case I wrote about my story as a migrant students, pretty standard in that aspect

But the key point is was to show the struggle and how I overcame it

And determination to keep going

this may not be exactly what youre looking for but in my second big QB essay (topical) i wrote about new telescopes being developed and an uchi AO wrote to me that they liked hearing about my passion for astro, so it looks great to talk about the things you love and want to pursue

This should be fine, I wrote completely different essays for my common app and QB, for QB I wrote about how I learned to define and celebrate my own success while in my common app essay I wrote about scrapbooking and how I learned to work around my shame and insecurity as someone who's been low-income basically my entire life--my common app essay was actually written before my QB essay if that helps give you an idea about deciding what to do

Most people doing QB choose to just take their QB essay and then cut it down to the common app limit, but that wouldn't have been possible at all with my QB essay looking back at it now, so do what you feel is best!!

In my opinion, during the summer all you should really be doing up until like August to mid August is just brainstorming exercises to help you with introspection and connections within yourself, and this can include just spending like 30 minutes taking a walk and just thinking about who you are and what you've done so far in your life

Take this time to reflect and make peace with the things you've been struggling with, not for any college's sake but for your own because this is a time of your life where your world will be shaken and you need to have a better grasp of who you are and what you want to do, even if it's only a little bit--but there's no pressure to stick with the plans you make originally too, you're allowed to be unsure, just be true to yourself
