(1) you lose your ability to bargain aid
(2) match doesn’t usually give you a better scholarship; sometimes it gives you a worse deal or the same deal but with more restrictions on your enrollment
(3) it robs you of your choices later
(4) match isn’t the part of the QB application that benefits you; it’s instead the actual app itself since it’s the increased space that matters more
(5) matching many schools requires you to write all required supplements in a two-week timespan while everything for QBRD is due in January, generally

For 3, I'd say that depends on how attached to your schools you are. Not sure about 4 but for 5, that also depends on the schools. I've already finalized my list since my HS makes us start working on our essays in March but the ones I'm going for in NCM don't have too many supps.
