#Georgia Tech (GATech) (2023-2024)
1 messages · Page 4 of 1
Each applicant is assessed on the basis of achievements and potential in a broad range of categories, viewed in the context of the opportunities and challenges the applicant faced. This is from their website. So, in that context, an underprivileged region with be pooled together with other underprivileged regions to find the best candidate. So ig you are correct. But, you also have to study what is the most popular major for each income bracket. This is just one strata, but I don't know how they will be grouping candidates. Tbh it's more or less a black box.
But UIUC says this. We consider your background.
This includes your educational environment, veteran status, geographic location, and first-generation status. We want to continue to provide an atmosphere that values students who have a unique set of experiences and knowledge.
I don't think you can generalize to all schools.
You might not get directly compared to the rest of the country but there will be indirect comparisons made
My state is so cracked 😭 it’s Joever
my country is so cracked 😭 it's Joever
I think Business major at georgia tech is less competitive??
my continent is so cracked 😭 it's Joever
Nothing like that
I have met with tech AOs
They said it’s common misconception
my homeworld is so cracked 😭 it’s Joever
Nothing is less competitive at Georgia tech
Hey I need some help with the Georgia tech application for scholarships and financial aid
they dont really give scholarships to internationals iirc
I’m domestic
And they’re requiring to fill their own application
oh mb
Hey guys
I need some help with my Why Georgia essay
I want to study CSE, what threads are related to that ? they seem to be very CS focused and no E in them
also any other good reasons ?
i applied for mecheng and i talked about a professor whose research im interested in, and a concentration within mecheng that i really liked
idt they have cse here
its cs and compe
also about that, its kind of hard navigating their research website. I found an IRI im interested in (People and Technology) but I can't find their research project or any of that
There is a school of CSE
wait can't you apply for it as well?
school of computing, but cs and compe are sep majors
compe is in ECE anyways
In addition to the css
idk i didnt apply
is it within the college of computing
this is grad school
oh damn
its fine i thought it was for us too lmao
where should I look then if I'm into CS EE
their website is honestly one of the worst so far 😭 im confused by everything
compe?
yes but thats kind of diffrent a bit
wait i'll go through it and see
because i want something that's not EE>CS
more like EE<CS
CS is the main
i liked vip a lot
The Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) Program is a transformative approach to enhancing higher education by engaging undergraduate and graduate students in ambitious, long-term, large-scale, multidisciplinary project teams that are led by faculty. The program has been rigorously evaluated and refined over more than two decades.
you sir are awesome and I hope you get in to any school to apply to
if you are applying this year
When does out of state ea decisions come out
We don’t know yet. It’ll likely be the last week of January.
aye goated advice, what i would say too
i think im either doing intel modsim or intel device
im not 100% sure yet
was gonna do intel theory but idk
if you like math a lot do theory
otherwise dont bother lol
if you like stats prob intel modsim
im thinking of working in embedded AI which basically needs all 3
you could probably take devices classes as electives. would be sorta hard because GT CS is uh... extremely bloated, but it's technically possible i think
or modsim, whichever one you dont choose
if all else fails you can definitely find some project you can either join or observe probably
theres pretty big intersect so yeah
how much emphasis does gt place on their essay
is it equally important to common app essay or less
Everything is holistic
I went to one of their tours and they did say that one thing they don’t put as much emphasis on is test scores
Because submitting scores are mandated by the state Georgia, it holds less weight
One thing they do care about though is leadership positions and commitment to the community
So I would assume that your gpa and essays “count” more than stuff like scores
I feel worried because i think every single part of my app is very strong
but looking back the why gt essay was my weakest
because it wasnt that personal to me
and as oos cs applicant i hope that isnt the rejecting factor

Okay well
My app isn’t
So
Well idk how strong my app is
But I think having a weak why us wouldn’t be the best thing for you
guys, i got a 1380 but 780 math and 600 english. I have a good english prof score
im international
do u think this would reject me?
lowkey would u be down to give it a look
in dm
aight u right
i always do, is that bad?
Yes
im not sure
Yeah
I mean no
high school grad should be fine most cases
anyways
but anyone can lie about who they are
I’ve forgotten half my application atp because I don’t really care
?
And if I think abt it more idc
idk maybe i shouldn't apply to georgia tech CS
Did u read what I said
nope where
State of Georgia requires test scores so as long as you meet the state minimum you can’t be auto rejected
where can i find the state minimum
very much so
for first year, i had great ECs and stats (in my opnion) but got rejected. For transfer, everything else was either equally as good or worse, but my essays were much better. Got accepted
thats just anecdotal though
is it okay to say "CS" 'EE" in my essay or should I spell it out ?
EECS is the acronym but idk
Okay that’s good
My ECs are “Georgia Tech average” and my gpa is too. I put a pot of work into my essay so I hope it pays off!!!
generally my rule is spell it out once, then using acronyms are ok
^^^
Ugh
What I would give to know my result rn
I dreamed that I got a likely letter
gatech does likely letter?
Idts but apparently they send u an email early if u r like a finalist for their scholarship? Not too sure
Might be mixing up eith a diff school
Me neither 💀💀💀
nah me neither
It’s probably easier to get into MIT than get the Stamps full ride scholarship
it is
We should pin that response because I swear I see this question being asked twice a day 💀
real
!gtea
When are Georgia Tech’s EA 2 decisions coming out?
We do not know.
Does gt have an artificial intelligence major?
Also does gt admit by major
How much of an ea boost does it have
And is there an instate boost
!gtea
When are Georgia Tech’s EA 2 decisions coming out?
We do not know.
theres an intel thread in CS
instate boost is HYUGE
like 40% or something
also they say they "dont admit by major" but they also say they take major into account and want a balanced student body so
its BASICALLY admit by major. also the new policy changes to CS basically make CS an admit by major
dont know about the EA boost though
yeah... estimates for OOS CS is like, 10-15%
possibly lower
36% for instate, 12% for OOS
for last year
and im assuming the CS acc rate is even lower
Wait
What is it for gen eng
Damn
Damn damn damn
Why does my stupid dream school have to be so hard to get into
That’s like… Ivy League acceptance rates
It’s probably easier to get into an Ivy ED than Georgia Tech OOS 😭
At least u guys HAVE good pubs
My state is top in private schools but not for public schools 💀
Join the sysarch train
was talking to the person who wanted an EE side to CS
im probably gonna stick to intel modsim
honestly shoulda done ED bruh
but tbf i also didnt want to give up uiuc
Dude
💀
What are these words 😭
“Intel modsim”
“Sysarch”
All the cheme words that I know are:
“Distillation”
“Reactor chamber”
“Oil”
“Money”
my instate is auburn my guy
thats where ive been for the past year and a half 💀
thank god i got to transfer, not to diss on auburn peeps but it was so boring there
the two cs threads: intelligence and modeling&simulation
sysarch is system architecture
honestly seeing them restrict cs is no surprise but ig it seals my rejection 💀
i honestly think that the regular acceptance rate for CS will not be lower any significant amount
so if youre applying for CS you should not worry about the policy changes
if you applied for like business or smth and wanted to switch to CS... thats where you will find problems
the minors in scheller seems really interesting
def a major factor for me
i havent found that anywhere else
like computing and buisness
Best thread
Whar does thread mean?
Ah thankss
Ah i see. So do u do like the reqs first and then choose one/more of these threads in like your junior or smth year?
Are you doing a thread?
everyone must choose a thread combination
theyre just different curriculums
they all have a lot of intersection for early level classes (though not always all the same) and generally differ in higher level classes
Wasn’t it 2%?
Yea 2% is crazy 💀
has georgia tech asked anyone to upload documents on the gt account?
Me
They asked me to upload my freshman and sophomore transcript because I changed schools
1 month after I submitted my application
What about financial documents?
Nah
Did you submit your css?
Financial aid stuff? Nah
Oh okay
I need to do my OSCAR profile soon
I changed school from 9th to 10th grade due to the school system in my country. Does that mean I have to prepare my 9th grade transcript? Will all uni ask for it in their portal or should we somehow submit it on common app?
i rmb putting them on common app?
is it in the courses & grades section?
but most unis like Georgia Tech doesn't require it
Oh I’m not sure then
Depending on your school it could be sent to them automatically
All schools ask for that
So at gt can I major in cs with the intelligence thread and minor in some art minor (graphic design or ui ux smth)
Yes
Actually I don’t know if there’s an art minor
If you want to work in graphic design and stuff just combine intel and media thread is prob the move
Because you pick 2 threads
agreed with this
Ohhh. So would that count as dual major or smth
Oh okay. Thanks so much.
is gerogia tech really diverse tho?
Where tho?
Sorry for the confusion, I meant where to put it
Yes but my school transcript doesn’t include the 12th grade sem 1 grades
My school said they will publish the latest transcript around January
Your school will probably send this
2% of int cs?
i think someone said that
I don’t think there’s any way that’s true
when is the deadline for the submission of mid year report?
Also is a mid year report required in Early Action? Like the portal dosen't show any checklist that I have to submit
When are Georgia Tech’s EA 2 decisions coming out?
We do not know.

Instead of “we do not know” it should be “stop asking”
this
LMAOOOOO
could anybody help me cut my essay down
i am far over
you can try asking riley from cornell. I have heard shes is good at that
will do
ty
when does ea 2 come out
end of jan
I just looked it up and... wtf... why are they so mean...
Even college essay guy is bullying me 😭
😭😭😭
What the hell lmao
0.002% is for CS major in ed2? Or what
it’s over
no
its not
but also we all should set low expectations for ourselves because it has a 10% acceptance rate lmfao
if we get in should we say we’re better than the avg ivy ed applicant /s
yea
it’s over
it's true
almost 2x as likely
ngl why don’t u just apply as a transfer
i think it’s much easier to get into
why don’t we just do that guys
because
it's too good to be true
if it was that good in reality everyone would transfer
you lose a year of connections, friendships, clubs, etc.
easier to stay at your safety school which gave you 20k a year than to transfer, no scholarship money, no friends, etc.
of course it's NOT like that in reality but it's not as simple as it seems
wait how common is it to be offered a gt transfer plan
if ao's want you but not enough to wanna admit you ea, are they more likely to defer you or offer a transfer plan
idk
very true
Isn't there an option to go to gtech France for your first semester
They probably send a bunch of kids there
i got in with a 1400 instate for cs. ik some oos friends that got in with scores between 1400-1500~
There's the computer engineering degree
Bro AEs take 1331 and then they're like never again
Gtech was ranked #1 for aerospace engineering last year
And #2 for chemical engineering 😍😍
GaTech has got to be a top 3 STEM-only school
I know it’s not ALL stem but yeah
since he wants more cs though i think going devices is a good route
Honestly you can get a good CS education at any school
I feel like the internship network would matter more
GT has that Tech Square with a ton of tech companies right
all of my top choices are esentially at the same level cause they all t10
i just like gatech cause its urban, and they have an insane startup program
tbf everyone does but i like gatech’s in particular
yeah i mean Atlanta is huge
i think google has a place there
and delta for aero
me personally i have no clue where i could go for internships
ight time to move to georgia
Okay but also guys
For standardized tests
Georgia Tech does not give a fuck
It’s not prioritized
Ig we'll see in a month
I mean I’m no person to talk cuz I have a pretty good score but
Yeah they told me that they only aren't test optional because of the state requirements and don't use them very much
theyre there to see if you meet the minimum requirements
Hooray
They take ECS very seriously if you have leadership positions and commitment to community
thats good i think i show those for mine
Honestly it’s a shot in the dark for me
I have all the requirements and I have the rigor but I’m so doubtful
same
its fine if i dont get in im not expecting to cus its accpetance rate is pretty low
but it would be nice
I will tell you guys that Georgia tech only takes SAT scores because the state government forces them to btw
Still pretty holistic
I wonder what an average OOS GaTech acceptee looks like
ngl the people I be seeing at Georgia tech be looking like complete bums
and then they are just geniuses
Bro I love corn
all of my top schools can be classified by levels of corn
fuking Cornell
tbh I don't want to ever see a stalk of corn again but I'm not gonna complain
uiuc: corn school
cornell: "corn" school
umich: near corn, probably
gatech: no corn really
udub: forget about corn
cmu: they dont know about corn cause they havent touched grass
blud I live on cornfields
womp womp
I'm not gonna want to see more corn
Well I’ll prob end up at UIUC too so you have me 😘
Jk
I’m really overly confident on my UMich application
I’ll probably end up there if it wasn’t also hard
just conditional transfer if you don't get in the first year
Ur right
Transferring is not the best
Besides internships, coops, and research matter more than prestigious academics
i think my hypotheical choice is either between uiuc, gatech, and cornell
idt i have any shot at the rest
Stay optimistic
Even though our chances are
Well
Limited
My friend got into corn school
Yeah
Anyways
I need to be humbled
Honestly I was thinking that I’d probably be better off being rejected from GaTech
I just want a pretty campus and good party scene
UIUC and Mich honestly should be my top choices
i wouldnt be surprised if i got rejected here and picked up by the most unlikely option (corn or cmu)
Kinda yea
I mean u don’t need CMU
That’s 100% academics 0% social life
Probably even worse than MIT
theres no way i get into udub
Ur applying to Mich?
yeah
Haven’t seen u on the Mich thread
same with cornell but im holding out in the hopes i get some aid
That’s why I’m considering UMN because they’re t5 chemical engineering and only 35k
But also consider ur paying like 80k for just pure academics
uiuc will be by far my cheapest option
well nvm
but my cheapest option amongst my top choices
I should have applied to Stanford but I hate their supps
stanford woulda already been over
so i didnt apply
plus who actually likes california
didnt apply any hypsm in fact
Was gonna apply MIT but fuck no
Schools can kiss my ass if they do a separate app portal
i dont really need any anyways
im applying to all t20 cs except for schools that i have actual reasons not to apply to
Nice
I’m applying all t20 ChemE and I already got into my safety which I love so honestly I’ll take the W 🥵🥵🥵 just get me into the honors college alr wtf
if you arent: low income, first generation, legacy, instate
very low chance you get these
i didnt get a conditional transfer
i didn’t know gt considers a student to be first gen if both parents didn’t earn their degree in the us 😭
i put i wasn’t first gen but both of my parents didn’t get a degree in the us
uhhh no they dont?
they definitely do not consider people whose parents have international degrees as first gen
Think they do...
thats crazy, that has to be a recent change or something
because i explicity remember asking about that like 2 years ago
and they said no
seems to be conflicting information
this was last month btw
double legacy ez
yeah i feel like it was diff when i was applying 2 months ago

tbf RD includes instate kids
its def harder for oos to go rd than eaii
i think
thats true but im assuming theyre talking about OOS only
wait
i misread what you wrote
ok wait
ea2 is prob better than rd for OOS kids
rd is a higher rate since it also has instate kids
who get a boost automatically
but either way i dont think thats true
last year, EA2 was 10%. the acceptance rate for OOS as a whole was 12%. That must mean in regular decision there had to have been a larger percentage than EA2
we didnt get stats for OOS in RD
but simple math tells us that it must be so
fair enough
although, theres also the factor than in EA2 you can get deferred
i dont know the stats on it, but just from anecdotal experience the people that i know who got deferred got admitted regular
i didnt even get deferred first year 🤡
lets be honest guys im getting rejected 😇
believe in urself chief
hopefully im not and get accepted ea2 but defer aint bad
but thats kinda delusional
nah manifest and it shall be so
true
lowkey i think defer for gt is case 💀
ppl from my school got deferred and didnt get in
Defer = its joever
I would mention other stuff too. 4641 is just an intro to ML course, which a lot of other schools offer as well. Maybe talk about the intelligence thread or ML professors who u want to do research with
Anybody can name drop a course in my opinion, it’s becoming more and more cliche and in a couple of years it’ll be a big no-no
If it’s in the curriculum or program of studies, don’t mention it bc everyone’s taking it. Rather, mention a research opportunity with a professor or an elective most students don’t take
But tie it back into YOU. What have you done in high school? What are you passionate about? How will that specifically benefit you and how will that thing specifically achieve that goal?
yea imo mentioning specific cs courses isnt that strong
cuz basically every school has the same stuff
In my essay I talked about a class I was taking this year and tied it to a professor that made a really cool thing. He teaches a higher level chem e / bme elective.
But if I just name dropped the professor and his class the AOs would probably just roll their eyes
I personally name dropped two classes to showcase how flexible the threads curriculum was and how I could take advantage of it (which was a major reason in my essay)
You guys say that every college has the same classes but this is just not true lol
GT’s curriculum can and should be a major reason for you coming to tech, at least if ur CS.
Exactly. And I have first hand experience as a transfer so I’m not just talking out of my ass when I’m saying GT’s curriculum is very special
Though, it should be noted that you have to properly convey how GT is special. Just randomly talking about some classes without expanding on it is not the way to go
But name dropping is not a bad thing at all if done well
Well I mean
In my case
You can get good cheme at a lot of colleges
Even non prestigious ones
UDelaware for example is a t10 cheme program because some rich company in Delaware donates to it
So I’m not really worried where I end up but GaTech is awesome Atlanta is awesome so yeah
Yeah other majors may be different
yeah thats what i meant
it depends on the context
like if u just name drop a course without connecting it well then i dont think its strong
because other schools have similar types of courses
yea u have to connect to personal values/interests
thats what makes it strong
if u just say u wanna take a course it doesnt add much value
but connecting it does add value
and shows thought
wait till u try to drive in from I-95
95 doesnt go through atl
75 is hell though i agree
I drive through Boston a lot how much worse can it be
Atlanta drivers have no soul
Boston drivers have an evil soul
Imeant i75 my bad
75/85 merge
i drive through atl when going through florida
75 from chatanooga to after atl is hell
id say top 3
but its by far the longest period of hell
when i drove back home
as soon as i left tech
i was literally still at the same place for 3 hours
fuck 285
if im forced to find off campus housing or smth
avoid 285 at all costs lmao
I would never go farther than midtown if I went to Tech
prices may force me to go farther
happy new year tech bros
cheers broda
Georgia Tech decision when?
Does anyone know when ea 2 decisions were released last year?
!gtea
When are Georgia Tech’s EA 2 decisions coming out?
We do not know.
We need a counter for how many ppl ask before decisions are released
probably more then
!gtea

We do not know.
now we at 8
cs ivy day is insane 💀
not my term but i liked it so much
uiuc comes on that day fs
i think umich does too, gatech, and i think wisc
umd probably too
purdue and umass are earlier though
unsure about texas
UT comes out by Feb 1 for priority
That is what the admissions office said when I called them
a bit late then
What a term
lmao cs ivy day
Eng Ivy day basically
God damn so it’s basically all B10s + GaTech and others
I actually had no clue when wisco was coming out lol
nah not all big 10s
nvm wisco is on or before jan 31st
but i think they defer everyone oos
and penn state and iowa are rolling
i got my iowa decision in like a week
Rutgers is already sending out decisions as well
jan 26 gonna kill me
How much does it help to apply ea compared to applying rd here
eh
i mean if ur oos ur screwed either way... ea helps just a lil bit bc ur competing w only oos
it is what it is
i mean besides
gatech is for huge nerds
is this my top choice school? yes
same 😎😎😎
looking at raw acceptance rates, not at all
for 2023, for EA2, 10%. OOS acceptance rate as a whole, including RD, was 12%. That means a larger percentage of OOS applicants were accepted during RD.
yall gotta be more optimistic
Ahhh the chances are so slim haha
btw do you anything about the computational media major?
i mean yeah idk what that gotta do with what i said tho
uhhh not really its mostly just a liberal arts major + CS classes to my understanding?
i think you learn stuff like graphical design, audio, etc.
but again idk much about it
CS + X 💀💀💀
maybe
9!
its early action decsions
!gtea
When are Georgia Tech’s EA 2 decisions coming out?

You are intl
i think the counter is now at 10

reddit people were saying jan 29-30 but nothings confirmed 💔
how do they still not have a date
Instead of doing portal astrology, why don't you astrologize your chances of going outside?
Lmao
idk tho
Everybody gets that
first of all, gt is test required so u have to
but gt's 25th-75th range for ACT is 31-35 with a 33 median so that score is below the median but still passable
oh yeah im dumb whoops
Do we need to fill out FAFSA and CSS to be considered for institutional merit based scholarships? Or can I give it after if I were to be accepted into one of them
Georgia tech doesn't need css
FAFSA is due by Jan 31st
But it's not required for merit based
Ok, thank you
cause I keep getting spammed from their fin aid office ab completing them
wait have you submitted either the fafsa or css already? i didnt submit either and im not getting any emails from the fin aid office
does institutional funds include merit based scholarships?
Oh shit
I've gotta send it to them then
Oh wait I already did 🙏
Nevermind you do need css
Sorry for spreading misinformation
Either way you don't need them for merit based
Just need based
did yall all get the email from gatech to add details to your fafsa today (if u didnt do fafsa before)
Yeah
GT uses CSS
Yeah I was wrong 😔
mb didnt see the messages after lol
Still can’t access my FAFSA so #we’llhavetowait
They won't send the info in till the end of January no matter when you fill it out so it's ok to wait
did you alr do the css?
oh okok
nah i didnt get an email but i also didnt fill out css
so i think thats why
Yep
I couldn't access the form today tho
if i get lazy
and dont fill it out
til the 30th
does it matter
cuz gatech results come out before that
!gtea

pfosdk pfoskdp osdkpof spdokf po pls announce
it will likely be the last friday or saturday of the month
i love georgia tech
So like
I just got completely fucked over by registration
Idk why y’all need to know that but like
Yeah
😔
I’m still stuck in waitlists
Since CS is restricted now, the registrations problems that you guys are facing should be gone in a couple years.
can you still do a cs minor even tho gt restricted transferring into cs
I mean you still can transfer
yes
Whats the new gt policy about restricting something in cs
oversaturated
"The Institute is exercising its right as indicated in the Catalog policy that addresses the Change of Major to place conditions on the BS in Computer Science program. This is due to high demand for the BS in Computer Science major. First-year students who are admitted Summer 2024, Fall 2024 and beyond will not have the option to change their major to the BS in Computer Science and must plan accordingly. Continuing students, admitted prior to Summer 2024, will follow the existing Computer Science process for changing their major. "
What if you transfer into gt, can u do cs
how popular is industrial engineering at gt
yes, if you are accepted for CS. Like you can't apply to transfer for history and then switch to CS. U have to apply CS. Also if u have a transfer pathway u are no longer guarunteed cs anymore.
What about computational media
Is that one of those cs majors that you can’t transfer to
its the third fourth most popular major. but tbh it shouldn't be any harder to get in than other majors. i think cs is the only "impacted" major
u can transfer to computational media. computer engineering is also unrestricted
What is the most popular major? Is it cs or aerospace or something else
thanks
aerospace is only 5%
damn
I thought it would be much higher
last year, georgia tech was ranked #1 for aerospace
now they are #2
ah okay yeah idk anyone else from my school who applied for industrial engineering, they all did ce or cs
does gt have a grace period
Im sorry but what does a transfer pathway mean
i only decided to apply today 💀
They don’t ‘admit by major’ iirc
Basically guaranteed transfer as long as u meet requirements based off major
Tho u can’t use transfer pathway on cs now. You’ll just be a regular transfer applicant
oh dang that sucks man
!geat
wait when did this come out 😭
I applied chemistry but planned to change into cs
ah fuck is it over for me i was really hoping for georgia tech
recently
I applied ea2 so I think it wasn't a thing cuz I remember searching for the major change policy
a bit unfair 😦
probably happened cus our college of computing dean left recently
and he wanted CS to be unrestricted
then he left
so ig they quickly changed the policy
The policy change was honestly needed tbh
I am now taking both a physics and a math minor because if I don’t I will no longer be fully enrolled in Georgia tech :|
Because of how little credit hours I was able to register for
what are u registered for atm
and WL
Not getting CS 1331 credit fucked me over so hard https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/1073312742087336036/1192649164484517908/image.png?ex=65a9d817&is=65976317&hm=e6b98aa5a91384ae0d4d8846e09c9ee17746ff4c2662b2d92a6b973ebcf32da5&
oh damn
im kinda waitlisted on my classes i need bruh
well good thing is i just got off the waitlist for complex analysis
is that good or bad LMAO
both
bro some classes have negative waitlists
works towards my math minor but also im going to die
how many credit hours are u tryna do this sem
18 in the end
i sorta dont want to take the health class
but if i do then 20
its likely that nobody is going to drop japanese 1 tho so like
i dont think im getting off the waitlist

When are Georgia Tech’s EA 2 decisions coming out?
We do not know.
guys my uncle works for gatech and he says that decisions are coming out tomorrow
Is this a joke or are you being fr?
sorry yeah it's a joke
Kek
it's like the "my uncle works at nintendo" joke
i wish they were really coming out tommorow tho
Yeah got that lmao, too anxious for ga tech decisions
i think regular discrete isnt bad. honors is usually a lot harder but they're merging lectures with regular next semester... so its different now
problem is idk if imma wake up for 8 am

We do not know.
can we just pin this shit
When should we expect decisions for RD GATech
we dont even know ea2 bruh

When did ea2 come out last year
No but around what?
i think its usually last monday of jan but im not sure
check historic dates and take average
💀 😭
For last year
Yeah I'm pretty sure you can still transfer to CS just not a free pass right
you can transfer to CS if you apply as CS and get accepted yes
just no more pathway
Idk but the acceptance rate off a deferral is like 20-25 percent so it must be a lot of people
i can't find the numbers for last year but generally around 20%
thats promising
is there a decision date for ea2?

hello guys, for the Self-Reported Mid-Year Grades on the georgia tech portal the option is only until 12, but my transcript has 14 courses. What should I do? I emailed the admission office but no response yet.
no
theres a section for that?
Yeah in the gatech portal
Should I email the admissions office again?
I don’t think I got it bc it’s not even like my grades come out before my decisions
Maybe it's for rd people only
u just need to report courses u took 1st semester senior year. u took 14 courses in a semester? if u did just wait to see what the admissions office says
I have to report the grades too though
do you have to do this for EA
dont think soo
That's great
oh well thats why i dont see it
same here
guys does georgia tech give a lot of transfer pathway program things or sum
anyone know last years ea2 decision date?
26/1 ish
You think it’s gonna be relatively the same as this year
there are a lot of types of pathways
but if you dont make specific requirements idk how likely it is you can get one (maybe impossible?)
like if you qualify for pell grant then you get a pathway
I mean isn't it Georgia Tech;'s yield protection measure
I know at least 2 of my friends did a pathway with GA Tech so I assume its sort of common
Found the non American
its formatted like that literally everywhere except america
american format superior though fr
is gtech coming out on 31st confirmed
Everything’s formatted like that
Our address goes like China, Beijing, Haidian District, XXXX
ye for official stuff you say xxxx year, xx month xx day
would it be crazy if i told you my grandparents live in that district

🤓 ☝️
Probably because they don't want to give a date until they are completely sure that they have finalized everything
Once they feel like they have found a date that they can commit to giving out decisions, they will probably release the date
well i think that htey should release them in one minute
what the freak
so many applicants that they prolly are still finishing em all lol
i picked the wrong time to be born
💀 bro chill
