at public universities its more restrictive

That’s why it’s easier for feeders to get into t30 schools. Most schools nowadays have holistic admission, so unless you are top like 20% of your class at a feeder, it’ll be super hard to get into an ivy/t10 school, since you’ll have to put way more effort

it was an arts school btw

the thing is that some kids are just really good at that type of thing regardless of socioeconomic status
